Sheffield Wednesday have recovered from a poor start to the season to record two wins from two in September, boosting them up to ninth ahead of Saturday’s clash with 5th placed Birmingham.
Carlos Carvalhal’s side are one of the strongest in the division which they proved last season in their breakout year under new chairman Dejphon Chansiri.
They made some excellent signings last year such as Fernando Forestieri who scored 15 in all competitions, earning a nomination for Football League Player of the Year.
Ross Wallace, Barry Bannan and Gary Hooper were also successful signings whilst a successful defensive partnership developed between Tom Lees and Glenn Loovens.
Wednesday buoyed by their success finished in the play-offs but were beaten in the final by Hull City.
Carvalhal strengthened Wednesday in the summer adding striker Steven Fletcher plus creative midfielders Almen Abdi and Adam Reach.
Despite starting with an impressive win against Aston Villa they suffered a string of defeats to Burton Albion and Leeds United.
But in their last two games they have shown great spirit coming from behind to win both games.
Here is the Wednesday XI that will win on Saturday……
