Lincoln City will be looking to bounce back from a surprise defeat in midweek with three points against struggling Crewe tomorrow.

The Imps lost their second game of the season at Tranmere, dominating the first half but unable to make their chances count. The hosts scored with their only shot on target, condemning Danny Cowley's side to their first loss on the road.

The result leaves them two points clear of their rivals, Exeter City and Newport, but they'll hope to extend that tomorrow against David Artell's side, who are 17th in the table. They've travelled badly all season, but will have fond memories of dismantling the Imps at Sincil Bank last season.

The Imps have options across the park and their first team is by no means certain. Here is the XI we expect Cowley to field against Crewe.

Vickers has been out with injury, but came back against MK Dons and kept a clean sheet against Cheltenham last week.

The 22-year -old is first choice at Sincil Bank and is going to be a cracking keeper.

Former Wales international Eardley is a definite starter at right back.

He put three years of injury hell behind him last season to start virtually every game for Lincoln and he extended his deal in the summer.

Toffolo joined in the summer after being released by Millwall, having previously bee with Norwich City.

With Sam Habergham still out injured, Toffolo has seized his chance to cement his place as first choice right back.

Michael Bostwick is as recognisable as any Lincoln player with his long hair and longer beard.

He's a non-nonsense defender who has been a revelation since joining from Peterborough last summer.

Shackell is rolling back the years at Sincil Bank, showing the sort of experience that earned him Premier League promotions on three occasions.

The 35-year-old is banging in the goals too, he's got two since joining in August.

Pett will most likely keep Michael O'Connor out of the side after impressing in the middle of the park.

The former Stevenage man arrived as a winger, but has proven adept in the centre of the park, both in front of the back four and in an advanced role.

Frecklington is club captain and if he's fit, he'll always start.

He's just served a three match ban but returned to the side against Tranmere to turn in a comfortable display.

He's likely to weigh in with a goal too, having bagged three this season.

Bullish winger Anderson is still only a youngster, but he's racking up the games for Lincoln on the flank.

He cans swap from left to right with ease and has over 60 Lincoln outings to his name, despite only being 21.

Andrade has played in the Premier League and Championship, albeit for a total of twenty odd minutes.

He come back through the ranks and is currently impressing with his trickery and pace. He just needs to add finishing to his repertoire and he'll be pulling the scouts in from all over.

McCartan is on loan from Bradford, but as he's settled at Lincoln he's looked to be a wise acquisition. He's bagged a goal or two as well and is in impressive form.

He's keeping last season's leading scorer Matt Green on the bench.

John Akinde has 20 goals in three of his last four seasons, but has just one from open play in the league for Lincoln this season.

He was a big-money buy in the summer and Imps fans will hope he soon finds his shooting boots, even if his all-round contribution has been impressive.
