Nottingham Forest will be looking to make amends for a 3-0 drubbing at Brighton and Hove Albion when they travel south to face Brentford on Tuesday evening.

The Reds started brightly at the AMEX Stadium before the night turned into a comprehensive win for the home side, with the Seagulls looking every inch promotion contenders.

French boss Philippe Montanier must ensure that he gets the very best out of his squad with a large amount of games in such a small space of time, with three points at Griffin Park very much on the agenda for the club on Tuesday night.

Striker Britt Assombalonga should be recalled to the starting line-up tomorrow after missing out through injury on Friday, whilst some other regular starters could also bolster the Forest squad.

Football League World writer Lee Clarke takes a look at a 4-3-3 formation that will come out on top over the Bees tomorrow evening....

GK – Stephen Henderson

Stephen Henderson

Goalkeeper Henderson has not enjoyed the best of starts to his Nottingham Forest career, shipping 6 goals in just over 100 minutes of football.

The ex-Charlton Athletic man is likely to be called upon once again as Forest travel south to face Brentford, with the only other stoppers on the club’s books youthful and inexperienced at Championship level.

RB – Eric Lichaj

Following a somewhat erratic performance from Hildeberto Pereira against Brighton and Hove Albion on Friday evening, American Lichaj could be restored to the starting line-up tomorrow night.

The ex-Aston Villa defender has been unfortunate to lose his place under Philippe Montanier and his Championship experience could be vital in the coming weeks.

CB – Matt Mills

Matt MillsMatt Millsh

Mills’ absence from the starting line-up at Brighton was telling as Glenn Murray gave Michael Mancienne a torrid time on the south coast.

Whilst Mills isn’t the most technically gifted player he does offer an element of leadership to the Forest team and he will surely get the nod to play tomorrow night.

CB – Damien Perquis

Perquis has looked relatively solid during his first couple of Forest performances and both he and Mills could be the ones tasked with developing a partnership over the coming months.

The Polish defender looked composed in parts during Friday’s game and there are certainly signs that he can adapt to the demands of Championship football.

LB – Armand Traore

The French defender offers pace and strength going forward and he, like Mills and Lichaj, offers the Forest back line an impetus of Championship football.

Traore is yet to start a Championship game this season but his first start could come at Griffin Park tomorrow evening.

CM – David Vaughan

David VaughanDavid Vaughandd

The decision not to start with Welsh international Vaughan at the AMEX Stadium was a truly baffling one by Philippe Montanier.

Vaughan’s presence in midfield is a big asset for Nottingham Forest and he should return to the starting line-up on Tuesday night.

The midfielder’s extended stay at Euro 2016 could have had an impact on his fitness, which could explain his absence from the team in the first two league games.

CM – Henri Lansbury

The return of David Vaughan could allow the shackles to come off Lansbury and let him run loose further up the pitch.

Lansbury has been tasked with marshalling the defence in the first couple of games and although he hasn’t performed badly, he is much better assisting with Forest attacks.

CM – Pajtim Kasami

The Swiss international has made a fairly promising start to his Nottingham Forest career and he looks to be an important player for the club this season.

The ex-Olympiacos man has been a steady influence at the heart of midfield for the Reds and his array of passing is a big asset to Montanier’s team.

FW – Oliver Burke

Youngster Burke is brimming with confidence at present and he should get the chance to continue in a more advanced role at Griffin Park.

The 19-year-0ld netted in the first league match of the season against Burton Albion, and Forest will be hoping that he can continue firing the club towards the higher echelons of the league.

FW – Britt Assombalonga

The ex-Peterborough United man netted twice in the opening match of the season but injury ruled him out of the Brighton game, with his loss a massive factor in the Reds not gaining a positive result.

The striker is invaluable for the Reds and the club will hope that he is fit to return to the side this Tuesday night, with Forest desperately needing to pick up a positive result.

FW – Jamie Ward

Ward played with a lot of confidence against Brighton on Friday and Forest were never a threat in attack once he was withdrawn in the second half.

The former Derby County man will probably continue as part of a three-pronged attack on Tuesday night and it will ensure Forest look strong in the final third.
