Wolverhampton Wanderers host Derby County in Saturday's early kick off in front of the Sky cameras.

Derby County go into the match off the back of a great win at home to Sheffield Wednesday, while Wolves drew 1-1 with relegation threatened Blackburn Rovers last time out, coming from behind to earn a point.

The Rams have failed to win in their last three visits to Molineux, but Wolves are winless in their last 6 league matches so this match could go either way.

It will be the away side who have more momentum going into this fixture, whilst Wolves are still without a manager after parting company with Walter Zenga last month, with Rob Edwards in temporary charge.

Last time the two sides met Wolves came out 2-1 winners, a late George Saville header winning it for the home side.

Here, Football League World writer Rob Booth identifies the line-up Steve McClaren should name ahead of the trip to the West Midlands...

GK - Scott Carson

Scott Carson is one of a handful of players that has turned their form around since the arrival of Steve McClaren.

The 31-year-old shot stopper was heavily criticised earlier on in the season after his poor form, but he's beginning to redeem himself between the posts, and in Derby's last match against Sheffield Wednesday, Carson made a number of good saves to keep the Rams in front.

RB - Cyrus Christie

Last week's win over Sheff Wed was easily Cyrus Christie's best performance of the season.

The Irish international scored his second ever Derby goal on Saturday as well as helping the defence keep a clean sheet.

Christie showed his talent against the Owls, and fans will be hoping he can show that form consistently, something he has failed to do this season.

CB - Alex Pearce

Alex Pearce has continued to impress in a Derby shirt, and last week he bagged his first ever Rams goal, getting the second in Derby's 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday.

Pearce is in fine form after a poor first season at the iPro Stadium, which saw him loaned out to Bristol City.

Despite Jason Shackell returning from injury this week, it's highly likely Steve McClaren will stick with the same defence that he's used in his first four matches as Rams boss.

CB - Richard Keogh

richard-keoghdddddd

Richard Keogh has played in every match for Derby so far this season.

The Irish defender has been in good form recently, helping Derby to 3 clean sheets in McClaren's first four games since returning as manager.

Keogh has made 193 league appearances for Derby, and it's likely the Rams skipper will make his 194th at Molineux on Saturday.

LB - Max Lowe

max-lowexdd

Max Lowe came off the bench to return from a minor injury on Saturday against Sheff Wed.

The promising youngster has played very well when called upon this season, and deserves another start in the first team. Derby have not conceded in the league when Max Lowe has played, keeping clean sheets in all three matches he's appeared in.

Marcus Olsson could continue in the left back position at Wolves, but Max Lowe will be in contention to start the game too.

CDM - Jamie Hanson

Jamie HansonJamie Hanson

Jamie Hanson only played last week due to the unavailability of other central midfielders.

But Hanson was incredibly impressive against Wednesday, as he usually when called upon.

The 20-year-old could drop out of the starting XI, but Steve McClaren might not want to make too many changes to the line-up that played so well last week.

CM - Bradley Johnson

bradley-johnsonc

Bradley Johnson has played as a defensive midfielder this season, but due to the absence of both Will Hughes and Craig Bryson, he played further forward.

If Jamie Hanson does continue, then Bradley Johnson will played as a centre midfielder once again.

The former Norwich midfielder has looked a different player since the arrival of Steve McClaren, putting in some great performances in a Rams shirt.

CM - Will Hughes

Will Hughesmnf

Even though Steve McClaren will most likely want to keep pretty much the same side that beat Sheffield Wednesday, Will Hughes will probably be put back into the starting XI after serving a one match ban for accumulating 5 yellow cards.

Hughes is a gifted midfielder with a great creative ability, his passing, dribbling and ball winning skills make him one of the best central midfielders in the Championship.

RW - Tom Ince

tom-ince99

Tom Ince was another player that put in a great performance last Saturday despite his form being poor in recent weeks.

Ince has been receiving criticism from the majority of the Derby fan base, but rewarded fans with a much improved performance against Sheffield Wednesday.

The winger needs to perform consistently for Derby because there are other good wide players at the club who could take his place in the team.

LW - Johnny Russell

johnny-russellcd

Fan favourite Johnny Russell can play on both the left and right side of the pitch.

The Scotsman has scored just the one goal for Derby this season, but it came under Steve McClaren's reign in the 1-0 win over Leeds.

Derby need consistency, and in McClaren's previous reign as Rams gaffer, Johnny Russell was one of a fair few consistent performers.

ST - Darren Bent

darren-bentdarren-bent

To the surprise of many, Matej Vydra was dropped from the Derby first team with Darren Bent coming back into the mix ahead of the clash with Sheffield Wednesday

Bent failed to score last weekend, but since the team played well as a whole, McClaren may want to continue with a similar XI, which could include former Premier League striker Darren Bent.

The 32-year-old is a good goalscorer, and has proved it in a Derby shirt, when he came in on loan in McClaren's first spell in charge of the club.

But this season his only goal came in the EFL Cup tie with Carlisle.
