Jos Luhukay's Sheffield Wednesday side will host Stoke City at Hillsborough on Saturday.

Two of the most talked about clubs in the early weeks meet in an intense class in Sheffield this weekend: Stoke have been criticised for their early season form under Gary Rowett, whilst Wednesday have been talked about in the light of their poor transfer window, overshadowed by an embargo.

The Owls enter this tie on the back of three straight league wins, all by the score of 2-1, which highlights the ability of Luhukay's side to grind out results that last season they may have drawn or even lost.

As for Stoke, Gary Rowett's men will be eager to right the wrongs of the opening month in the Championship, so will be looking to pick up a win in their trip to South Yorkshire.

Last time out, Wednesday won 2-1 away at Reading, but was Luhukay content with his team that day, or will he look to mix it up and alter his team?

Let's have a look at how we think Wednesday may line up in tomorrow's clash...

Goalkeeper Cameron Dawson has started all six league games thus far, and manager Jos Luhukay has publicly admitted how pleased he is with the decision he made to give the gloves to Dawson over the seasoned Kieren Westwood. The Dutchman has been extremely delighted with the performances over the academy product in goal, so Dawson looks set to continue in the side.

Liam Palmer should expect to start again at right back. The energetic full back seems to have got over injury woes of the past and is making the position his own so far this season.

Tom Lees is developing into a fine player as he adds the trait of leadership to his game. Now, as captain, Lees is leading by example both on and off the pitch for the Owls.

Jordan Thorniley relies on the aforementioned leadership qualities of Lees at the back, but the 21-year-old has grown from a boy to a man so far this season and is another academy product that Jos Luhukay has entrusted in his team.

It seems to be a regular theme of this lineup, but the Chesterfield-born full-back Matthew Penney is rapidly developing at Wednesday. At age 20, he is another young prospect, but he has been very impressive in the early weeks of the season at left-back and will hope to retain his starting place ahead of Daniel Pudil.

As he has been for a few seasons now, Barry Bannan is Sheffield Wednesday's most important player. The in-form Scot is a vital cog in the defensive and offensive phase and will be crucial to Wednesday's potential promotion push, as he eyes a return to the Premier League where he played for Aston Villa.

Joey Pelupessy is a Dutch midfielder that was brought to the club as Jos Luhukay's first signing, after making over 100 appearances for Eredivisie club Heracles Almelo. The 25-year-old does a lot of the dirty work in the Wednesday midfield and is bringing the best out of his partner Barry Bannan, as he uses his combative skills.

Marco Matias has been at Wednesday for some years now and is a very important player. The Portuguese winger netted in the cup win against Sunderland and is a key part to Wednesday's attack, so will hope to retain his spot against Stoke.

Adam Reach has become a guaranteed starter in Luhukay's side as he slowly adds more and more goals to his game from the number 10 position. He will be the man Wednesday look to as the one to seriously threaten the Stoke defence.

Lucas Joao is the Owls' top scorer so far this campaign, with three goals despite not playing as many minutes as he would have hoped. In Forestieri's absence, Joao will hope to start against Stoke and continue his goal scoring form.

Atdhe Nuhiu made history in the international break as he shone in Kosovo's first ever competitive win. He netted in Kosovo's 2-0 win over the Faroe Islands in the UEFA Nations League on Monday night and will hope to take this confidence and form into Wednesday's league campaign.
