Wolves will head into the weekend knowing they need all three points against a Derby County side who are showing a slight resurgence under Steve McClaren.

Both sides head into the game on level points, with Wolves taking a point from their last game away at Blackburn Rovers, with David Edwards grabbing a late equaliser.

Still without a manager since the sacking of Walter Zenga, the club really do need to start and kick on if they are to challenge for the top six in the Championship at the very least.

A plethora of new blood was brought in during the summer under the new owners and while some have done well, others have flattered to deceive.

It all makes for a massive game at Molineux this weekend, and we take a look at how Wolves can defeat the Rams.

Here's how they should line up, in a 4-2-3-1 formation...

GK - Andy Lonergan

Carl Ikeme is expected to miss out with an injury sustained last weekend, meaning a chance for the experience Lonergan to man the sticks.

Lonergan is solid enough and has plenty of know-how in the Championship, so should step in quite comfortably.

RB - Matt Doherty

Always one of the first names on the team sheet, Doherty is a permanent fixture in the Wolves line up these days.

CB - Danny Batth

The captain will be hoping to lead by example and get the club out of this mini rut, starting with keeping a clean sheet this weekend against the dangerous Rams.

CB - Kourtney Hause

The young defender is one of the league's top young performers and next to Batth is forming a decent partnership. Hause should be a Wolves mainstay for years to come, and is desperate for the club to do well.

LB - Cameron Borthwick-Jackson

The on-loan Man United man has impressed thus far with rumours already abound that Jose Mourinho may well look to call him back.

For now though, he remains Wolves' player and he is certain to get the nod tomorrow.

CM - Conor Coady

The former Liverpool youngster is a bundle of energy and he will need all his talent to stop Derby's impressive looking midfield.

CM - Romain Saiss

The impressive summer signing was withdrawn last week early in the second half but should still get the nod this weekend. He will need to be at his best to break up the attacking threat posed by the Rams midfield alongside Coady.

AML - Ivan Cavaleiro

Cavaleiro replaced Jed Wallace last weekend and might well get the chance to start this time round. With it being a home game, Wolves could go more attacking, giving Cavaleiro licence to roam forward.

AMR - Helder Costa

The tricky winger has been impressive enough and should keep his place in the team for this weekend. Costa is capable of conjuring up a goal from nothing, and Wolves might well need that in what could be a tight affair with goal shy Derby.

CAM - David Edwards

The experienced campaigner is a nailed on starter for Wolves and can play anywhere really, but is excelling further forward.

His late equaliser last week showed his value to the team once more.

STR - Nouha Dicko

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson has been the man this season for the main, but the returning Nouha Dicko might well get his chance.

The Derby defence seriously lacks pace, and Dicko could be a real handful for the Rams if selected ahead of Bodvarsson.
