Bar a slightly dodgy defeat in the EFL Cup to Cambridge United in the week, it's been a pretty solid start to the season for Sheffield Wednesday.

Manager Carlos Carvalhal led his side to a handy 1-0 win over Aston Villa on the first day of the season before his side drew a blank at Carrow Road against Norwich this weekend.

Four points from two games, and the chance to take three points of a Burton Albion side that have lost both of their opening fixtures in the Championship. His side will surely fancy it.

But with the ongoing transfer of Fernando Forestieri still not reaching any sort of a conclusion, could this begin to unsettle the Owls in their upcoming fixtures until the transfer window is closed?

We'll have to wait and see, but here is a Sheffield Wednesday side that should have enough to triumph over Burton Albion on Tuesday evening....

GK: Kieren Westwood

Former Coventry City man Kieren Westwood has done a good job in the Wednesday goal so far this season, and deserves to keep his place for this one.

He managed to keep a clean-sheet against a Norwich team that quickly fired four goals past free-falling Blackburn Rovers last Saturday, so Carvalhal should give him the nod here.

RB: Jack Hunt

huntttt

Jack Hunt, who had a spell at Crystal Palace before signing for Wednesday in January, is considered Wednesday's number one right-back and we expect it to stay this way as the season progresses.

The pacy 25-year-old has the ability to defend, get up and down the pitch and get crosses in, and he will be important for the Owls as the season progresses.

CB: Tom Lees

tom leesd

Vice-captain Tom Lees has been the subject of plenty of transfer activity this summer, but with the former Leeds United man looking set to stay in South Yorkshire, he will start this game against Burton Albion.

He's a real leader and a top quality defender at this level.

CB: Sam Hutchinson

Sam Hutchinson

Another Englishman in the Wednesday back-four, former Chelsea youngster Sam Hutchinson has shown glimpses of why he was kept on at Stamford Bridge until a knee injury nearly forced him to retire.

But back and fighting fit, the 27-year-old will be looking to make up for lost time as he attempts to held Wednesday back into the promotion places.

LB: Daniel Pudil

pudil

Pudil spent the whole season on-loan at Wednesday last season and signed on a permanent deal this summer.

He's a pacy left-back who can also play on the left side of midfield and has plenty of experience having played in five countries during his career.

Started the game against Norwich and we expect to see him feature again on Tuesday.

CDM: Barry Bannan

bannannnn

After a pretty fruitless spell at Crystal Palace a couple of years ago, former Villa man Barry Bannan is another player who will be targeting promotion with Wednesday this season.

The Scottish international played a big part in a Wednesday side that got to the play-off final last season and he will play a big role again this time out, at the heart of the Sheffield midfield.

CDM: Kieran Lee

kieran leed

Featured over 50 times for Wednesday last season, really proving how big of a player he is for this side.

Having started his career at Manchester United, Lees went onto play for Oldham Athletic for four years, before making the step up to Championship level with the Owls.

Has proved his excellent ability to pass the ball and could mastermind a promotion push once again.

RM/RW: Lucas João

A silky, skillful Portuguese attacker, João was another to have played in the majority of games last season and did well as Wednesday came close to reaching the Premier League.

Scored eight times last season and will be looking to better that this time round as the season progresses.

CAM/CF: Almen Abdi

Almen Abdis

Former Watford man Abdi was arguably the marquee signing of the summer for Wednesday and you can expect him to keep his place in the side as the Forestieri drama drags on.

The Swiss international is a good outlet going forward and offered good support to Gary Hooper in the game on Saturday. Scored 21 goals in one particular season for former side Zurich and Wednesday might want to see this form for them this season.

LM/LW: Ross Wallace

wallaceee99

Out of everyone at the club, former Burnley winger Ross Wallace is the man that arguably knows this league best and you can expect him to show his experience as Sheffield target the promotion places again this season.

He's a pacy customer who has also spent time at Celtic, Sunderland and Preston and he's a good player to have in this Owls squad.

ST: Gary Hooper

hooperrrr0099

There's only one man to lead the Owls this season and that's Gary Hooper.

The former Celtic man is still trying to rediscover the former he showed up in Scotland but there are many Wednesday fans who are optimistic the Englishman can get the goals needed to get them back in the Premier League.

He scored 13 for Wednesday last season and will hope to better that this time out.
