Rotherham United haven't had the best starts to the campaign but after putting in a much improved display on Wednesday night to draw 2-2 with Nottingham Forest, confidence will be high going into this weekend's game against fellow strugglers Blackburn Rovers.

The Millers currently sit in 20th place after collecting just one league win out of the opening seven games, although they will be hoping to change that this weekend when they visit Ewood Park.

Blackburn are yet to win this season and sit 24th with just two points to their name and with pressure appearing to be mounting on manager Owen Coyle, they will be desperate to pick up their first win of the Campaign against the Millers on Saturday.

This article is going to take the Millers XI that will beat Blackburn Rovers on Saturday...

GK - Lee Camp

Despite arguably being at fault for Nottingham Forest's first goal on Wednesday, Lee Camp is Rotherham United's undisputed number one goalkeeper and will retain the number one shirt for the game against Blackburn Rovers.

Camp is a brilliant shot stopper and the passion he displays on the pitch has made him a huge fans favourite down at The New York Stadium.

RB - Stephen Kelly

After Darnell Fisher received a red card for two bookable offences on Wednesday night, it appears that experienced full back Stephen Kelly will take his place for this one.

Kelly is a very consistent and dependable defender, he has represented the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Stoke City and Reading throughout his career and is a very well respected professional throughout the game.

CB - Kelvin Wilson

Kelvin Wilson would retain his place in the starting line up in my Rotherham United XI, as he has put in some solid defensive displays this season and appears to be growing in confidence with each game.

Wilson is a highly experienced centre back who has represented the likes of Celtic and Nottingham Forest in his career, he is a strong commanding figure at the back and his leadership will be needed in this relegation six pointer.

CB - Dael Fry

Young Middlesborough loanee Dael Fry has been excellent in his two appearances for the Millers since signing on a season long loan, and would therefore retain his place in my Rotherham United XI.

Fry is a very inexperienced defender but has displayed great confidence and composure in his early days as a Rotherham United player.

Fry is very calm and composed when in possession of the ball and is not afraid to drive out from the back with the ball at his feet.

LB - Joe Mattock

After starting on the bench in recent weeks Joe Mattock returned to the starting line-up on Wednesday night, and put in a very solid display.

The former Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday man was one of the Millers most consistent players last year, and despite a dip in form at the start of this season it appears he is back on track after Wednesday night's performance.

CM - Lee Frecklington

Lee Frecklington

Millers captain Lee Frecklington returned to action after injury during the game against Nottingham Forest when he came on for the last 10 minutes or so, and after a couple more days training he may well be ready to start against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Frecklington is the heartbeat of this Rotherham United side, he works tirelessly in midfield and is always looking to drive the team forward whenever he can, he is often referred to as "Mr Rotherham United" by the fans as he is such a huge hit with the Millers faithful.

CM - Tom Adeyemi

Box-to-box midfielder Tom Adeyemi is a big, strong and athletic presence in the centre of midfield and when he plays in this Rotherham United team he makes them look a much more solid unit.

Just like his centre midfield partner Lee Frecklington, he works tirelessly for the team and covers plenty of yardage.

LW - Joe Newell

Joe Newell missed the midweek fixture through a minor injury and indications are that he will be fit for this weekend's clash with Blackburn Rovers, and if so, he would go straight back into the starting line up in my Rotherham United XI.

Newell is a player of incredible technical ability and is someone who has the vision and passing range to open up the Blackburn Rovers defence.

CAM - Izzy Brown

Brown

Chelsea loanee Izzy Brown put in a man of the match performance on Wednesday night as the Millers drew 2-2 with Nottingham Forest.

Brown was a constant thorn in the opposition defence, and was looking to drive forward and run with the ball whenever possible, Brown worked tirelessly and gave the Nottingham Forest defence a torrid time.

Brown is clearly a player of immense quality and looks like a future star.

RW - Jon Taylor

Club record signing Jon Taylor opened his account for the Millers on Wednesday night with a terrific brace, he was an outlet for the team and used his pace and dribbling ability to great effect as he ran the Forest defence ragged.

Taylor will be hopeful of a repeat performance on Saturday and will also be hopeful of adding to his goal tally.7

ST - Danny Ward

Despite limping off with cramp during the midweek fixture, indications are that Millers frontman Danny Ward will be fit for the upcoming game with Blackburn Rovers, and if so he would be thrown straight back into the starting line up in my Rotherham United XI.

Danny Ward is a very unselfish player who's work rate and desire can never be questioned, he works tirelessly for the team and is a huge fans favourite down at The New York Stadium.
