Nottingham Forest face their toughest Championship test of the campaign tomorrow afternoon when Norwich City arrive at the City Ground, with the Reds putting their 100% home record on the line.

Forest were denied their first win on the road in midweek when a late Jon Taylor goal secured Rotherham United a share of the spoils at the New York Stadium, but two points from the Millers and previously against Aston Villa must be seen as positive steps for the Reds.

Norwich were thrashed 3-0 at Birmingham City in their last away game in the Championship and they will look to put that result right as they travel to the East Midlands.

The Reds will welcome back Hildeberto Pereira from suspension and Chris Cohen should return from a minor knock to face the Canaries at the weekend, whilst Britt Assombalonga and David Vaughan look set to miss out once more.

Football League World writer Lee Clarke takes a look at a 4-2-3-1 line-up which could see Forest beat Norwich this weekend.

GK – Vladimir Stojkovic

The Serbian goalkeeper has conceded twice in both of his first two games this season, although that has not been down to errors by himself.

The imposing stopper showed in the draw at Aston Villa that he can be a big player for the Reds this season, with many supporters hoping that he can secure the team their first shut out of the season this weekend.

RB – Eric Lichaj

The former Aston Villa defender is the most natural right-back in the current squad and there is little point in taking him out this weekend.

The fan favourite needs to be on top of his game this weekend, with Jacob Murphy in scintillating form on the wing for the Canaries.

CB – Michael Mancienne

A knock to Damien Perquis saw the ex-Hamburg defender throw into the action as a half-time substitute at Rotherham in midweek, with a recall to the starting line-up looking likely this weekend.

Pound for pound, Mancienne is one of Forest’s very best defenders and his presence in the team is massive. The 28-year-old possesses an element of pace and the ability to play the ball out from the back.

CB – Matt Mills

Mills hauled Forest back on level terms at the New York Stadium in midweek and his leadership qualities are unrivalled in the Forest defence.

There has been question marks raised over Mills’ defensive qualities in the past but he does command the back line pretty well and he should be an included against Norwich on Saturday.

LB - Armand Traore

The Frenchman could make his home debut at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon with his fitness issues now seemingly behind him.

The former Arsenal man played 90 minutes at Rotherham in midweek and his performance should have done enough to tempt boss Philippe Montanier into starting him again on Saturday.

The jury remains out on Traore following his summer arrival and he will look to do well if he is handed the chance to start this weekend.

CM – Chris Cohen

4848183

The Forest midfielder missed the team’s games at Aston Villa and Rotherham United but he should be thrust back into action this weekend.

Cohen is a work horse in the middle of the park for the Reds and against a dangerous Norwich midfield his return will offer the Reds a timely boost.

CM – Pajtim Kasami

4840959

The midfielder has been a popular figure in the Forest midfield this season and he is growing into the Championship with every single game.

Kasami was a bit of a coup when he signed from Greek champions Olympiakos in the summer and there is a sense that he can be a solid player for the Reds this season.

AMR – Hildeberto Pereira

The flying winger should return to the starting line-up this weekend, after serving a one-match ban for a couple of yellow cards in the game against Aston Villa.

Pereira is fast becoming one of the Reds’ most dangerous options going forward and his run to set up the late equaliser at Villa Park was simply brilliant.

Forest supporters are enjoying his performances in the side and hopefully the youngster can continue to improve.

AMC – Henri Lansbury

4853125

It has been said before that Lansbury’s very best position is operation behind the striker and boss Philippe Montanier may look to utilise him there this weekend.

Lansbury spent time on loan with Norwich City earlier in his career and he will be looking to put one over his former club this weekend.

AML – Ben Osborn

Ben Osborn

Osborn is seemingly immune to being dropped by Reds boss Philippe Montanier and he looks as though he is favoured in the eyes of his manager.

His form this season hasn’t been bad and he does put a shift in every week, with his tracking back qualities important as part of this particular formation.

If Osborn can add a couple of goals to his game then Forest have one hell of a player on their hands.

ST – Apostolos Vellios

4853089-1

The Greek striker has announced his arrival to the Sky Bet Championship in the last week, with two breathtaking strikes.

His first at Villa was a thunderbolt of a strike which sailed past goalkeeper Mark Bunn, whilst his goal to put the Reds 2-1 up at Rotherham was an acrobatic attempt which possessed superb technique.

The target man will be hoping to open his account at the City Ground this weekend, to push the Reds towards a win over Norwich.

Nottingham Forest fans, is this the team to down Norwich at the City Ground? Who would you include in the starting line-up? Let us know in the comments below!!!
