After a magnificent game for the neutral last Saturday, Nottingham Forest kickstarted their Championship campaign by defeating Nigel Clough's Burton Albion by 4 goals to 3, in what looks to be very promising season for Phillipe Montanier's Reds.

The City Ground faithful would have left with many positives, with the returning Britt Assombalonga enduring an extremely impressive game, netting twice.

Furthermore, the fearless Montanier experimented with a team that included many youth players, the likes of Matty Cash and Alex Lacovitti, in a team that consisted of 5 academy graduates with an average squad age of 23-years-old.

For sure, the former Rennes boss will be looking to further shore up his defence, which shipped 3 goals newly promoted Burton team striving with confidence.

And as the Reds go into battle with fellow promotion rivals Brighton and Hove Albion, here FLW writer George Harbey suggests his starting 11 that will bring home all 3 points from the AMEX Stadium.....

GK: Stephen Henderson

After Forest's Player of the Year Dorus De Vries sustained an injury in Saturday's fixture, the former Charlton stopper will be a shrewd replacement in between the sticks.

RB: Hildeberto Pereira

The 20-year-old Benfica loanee was subbed off in the latter stages of the game against Burton, however Montanier has declared the young man fit and raring to go and play an integral role on the right hand side Friday night.

CB: Thomas Lam

After netting on his debut for the Reds last week, the Finnish international who recently signed from PEC Zwolle, will look to bolster the Reds' leaky defence.

CB: Damien Perquis

In order to shore up the defensive line that conceded three times against Burton last Saturday, Montanier should look to include new recruit Perquis.

The 32-year-old Polish man recently signed from Toronto FC.

LB: Armand Traore

To cement a solid Forest back line, Montanier should look to hand a debut to the attacking Traore, who recently signed from QPR.

RCM: Henri Lansbury

It was a real coup on it's own when Forest managed to keep the starlet at the City Ground for yet another year, despite interest from Burnley.

The 25- year-old will be instrumental in the middle of the park this term, once again.

LCM: Jorge Grant

The implementation of youth on Saturday led to the 21 year old, graduated from the Nike academy, making his 12 appearance for the Reds.

He was integral in the middle of the park with Lansbury and assisted the prolific Assombalonga for his first goal.

RM: Oliver Burke

The talented Scottish winger was the shining light for what was a truly dismal campaign last term for the Reds, and after netting against Burton, Burke will be a very promising prospect for the future, and will be instrumental on the right wing again this year.

CAM: Matty Cash

After going out on loan to now National League outift Dagenham and Redbridge, making 12 appearances and netting 3 times, Cash has made an instant impact at the City Ground, and brightening up the turf in his first team debut last week.

LM: Ben Osborn

Another academy graduate, the 22-year-old has already made 82 appearances for the Reds, I for one expect big things from the former England under 20 star.

ST: Britt Assombalonga

Netting twice last week, it just goes to show how immaculate Forest could have been last term if the 23-year old managed to keep injury free.

After already netting 18 times in 34 games for the Reds, Assombalonga will be the major spearhead for the Reds' charge for promotion.
