Norwich City are absolutely flying in this season's Championship campaign, and you get the feeling it will be them and Newcastle battling for the title come the end of the season.

The Canaries have showed plenty of quality in the opening couple of months and Alex Neil seems to have instilled a real sense of fight in his players once again, as they look to gain automatic promotion back to the Premier League.

But this division is never an easy one to get out of and as we saw in the week, Norwich aren't completely unstoppable going forward.

Fulham did well to frustrate the Canaries and they managed to take a point in a 2-2 at Craven Cottage.

So going into their tie with Preston North End, how should Alex Neil lineup his troops?

Here's our Norwich City lineup that will thrash the Lilywhites this weekend...

GK: Michael McGovern

Northern Ireland's Euro 2016 hero Michael McGovern has taken over first-team duties at Carrow Road, and he's playing extremely well as his side continue their rise up the table.

John Ruddy can't get a sniff, which is a real compliment to McGovern, who was previously at Hamilton.

RB: Ivo Pinto

Pinto

Portuguese defender Ivo Pinto joined the Canaries back in January, moving from Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb.

And he's done well for his new side as the new season has gotten underway, getting forward at every opportunity whilst keeping things tight at the back too.

If he keeps performing well, there might be a few clubs beginning to keep a closer eye on his development.

CB: Russell Martin

Captain Russell Martin will start the game against Preston, but could be in for a tough afternoon if the news reporting Jermaine Beckford's return could be imminent.

Preston are enjoying a really good run of late and Martin will need to keep things tight if his side are to get all three points.

CB: Timm Klose

Timm Klose

Another January signing, Timm Klose has taken to English football like a duck to water, really holding down his place in the Norwich City starting eleven week-after-week.

The former Wolfsburg man has been instrumental in keeping things secure at the back so far this season, and he could be increasingly as the season progresses.

LB: Martin Olsson

Swedish international Martin Olsson is now in his fourth season with Norwich City and this journey back into the Premier League is one he's already made before with the Canaries.

So when the going gets tough and the games pile up, his team-mates should look to his experience to help them through.

CDM: Alex Tettey

Alex Tetteyd

Norwegian international Alex Tettey is another name on the teamsheet week-after-week and after his performances in recent weeks, it's difficult to see him leaving the first-team fold anytime soon.

He offers so much stability infront of the defence and he really isn't afraid to get stuck in to protect his back four.

CDM: Graham Dorrans

dorrans 2

Former West Brom man Graham Dorrans is another man who helped the Canaries to promotion before seeing them relegated at the first attempt last season.

He'll be really looking to help his side back into the Premier League having done the "boing-boing" journey with West Brom many times in the past himself.

That's why Norwich are so strong this season, they have players who have done this journey plenty of times in the past and that experience will be vital.

RM: Steven Naismith

Naismith

Steven Naismith is in line for a recall to the Norwich City side this weekend and we'd like to see him start against North End.

He's a pacy offering and whilst he's probably more suited to a central role, he has played wide in the past and he'll be looking to attack the Preston back-four.

CAM: Wes Hoolahan

Hoolahandfg

Wes Hoolahan is still a massive player in Norwich City's ranks and you've got to give the Irish international credit as to how he's kept himself in peak condition, even towards the latter stages of his career.

He's the heartbeat of this Norwich side and all their good work generally comes through him first.

LM: Robbie Brady

Robbie Brady was another man that stood out at the Euros and he was hotly linked with a move away from the club this summer.

But the Canaries will be glad they managed to keep hold- the pacy winger offers them so much quality going forward on the flank.

He's quick, skillful and has a wicked set-piece delivery to boot.

ST: Cameron Jerome

cameron-jeromeddds

Former Birmingham City striker Cameron Jerome has found a real home at Carrow Road and he's playing some fantastic football this season.

He's lightning quick and has real strength on the ball. At this level, there aren't many better strikers at all and if he can keep scoring, Norwich will be up there come the end of the season.
