Norwich will be buoyed after two narrow wins in a week lifted them up to 4th in the table.

A 3-2 victory against Cardiff and a 2-1 triumph over Wigan - both at Carrow Road - saw Norwich pick up six points and climb the table.

Their fans will be hoping that this is the confidence boost that Alex Neil's side need as they prepare to launch a promotion bid this campaign.

Norwich have an exciting mixture of young, talented prospects eager to impress and experienced heads bringing balance to the side.

Alex Neil has a selection dilemma on his hands for this Saturday's trip to Nottingham Forest. But it's a good position to be in. He has plenty of in-form players to call on and plenty of options from the bench if it's not working.

Nottingham Forest will be no pushovers. If their early results act as any sort of barometer to predict this weekend's result then you can expect goals for both sides.

If Alex Neil puts this side out in a 4-2-3-1 formation, then Norwich should have enough to see of any Nottingham Forest challenge...

GK: Michael McGovern

Michael McGovern was brilliant for Northern Ireland at Euro 2016 and he's continued this form into his Norwich game.

A string of impressive saves meant that Norwich secured the three points against Wigan, and the 32-year-old is expected to keep his starting spot ahead of John Ruddy this weekend.

RB: Ivo Pinto

Pinto

Ivo Pinto has been a standout performer for Norwich so far this season.

The Canaries were considerably better in the first half of the midweek clash with Wigan before Pinto came off.

The 26-year-old has started to settle well in England and is really showing his class.

A threat going forward and a rock defensively, the former Portugal under-21 international is the perfect right back.

CB: Russell Martin

Russell MartinRussell Martinmkdcv

Russell Martin has been one half of Norwich's centre back pairing in the last two games and the defence has significantly improved in this spell.

Alex Neil should aim for continuity this weekend and play the 30-year-old.

The Scotland international is a leader at the back and is captain of the team.

CB: Timm Klose

Timm Klose

Klose has been a mainstay in Neil's defence this term and his talented is way above this level.

The towering Switzerland international centre back is hard to compete with aerially and is a good tackler too.

The 28-year-old should help Norwich stay solid in defence and hopefully counteract the threat of David McGoldrick, Brett Pitman and Freddie Sears this weekend.

LB: Martin Olsson

martin olssonmkl

There is a serious case for Martin Olsson being the best left back in the league.

The Sweden international should get the nod ahead of Robbie Brady - who is still recovering from a quad injury.

CM: Graham Dorrans

Graham Dorrans struggled to get regular starting football for Norwich in the Premier League last season but has looked bright when called upon against Cardiff and Wigan.

The Scotland international can play both an attacking or a defensive role in the middle of the park.

The 29-year-old will be looking to maintain his form and hold down this starting spot in Norwich's side now that he's broken in following a groin problem.

CM: Alex Tettey

Alex Tetteyd

If anyone was in doubt about what Alex Tettey offers Norwich, then you just have to look at their second half against Wigan without him.

His energetic performances in central midfield are underrated and the Norway international always has a moment of magic up his sleeve.

The 30-year-old brings a lot of experience to the table and should start if his injury is not serious.

RM: Jonny Howson

Jonny Howsond

Mr. Reliable Jonny Howson should continue in his recent right midfield role this weekend.

He has been a big part of Neil's plans and has vast experience of both top and second tier football.

The 28-year-old keeps things ticking over with tidy performances and is the unsung hero for Norwich, despite being played out of position.

CAM: Wes Hoolahan

Hoolahandfg

Wes Hoolahan is best in a central attacking position so this formation plays into his hands.

The tricky 34-year-old is nicknamed the "Irish Messi" or "Wessi" for his skilful displays.

He offers goals and assists and carries a potent threat at all times with his special left foot.

LM: Jacob Murphy

jacob-murphydd

Jacob Murphy has been a revelation this season for Norwich.

The 21-year-old had a hit and miss spell at Coventry last season, contrasting terrorising confident performances with weak and nervous attempts.

He's been all hit so far for Norwich though and bagged three league goals already, including 2 against Wigan.

The former England youth international is looking like a real prospect and if he can keep performing, he keeps a first team spot.

ST: Cameron Jerome

cameron-jeromeddds

Cameron Jerome has three league goals this year and looks set to lead the line once again.

The 30-year-old has plenty of experience and despite not having a great hit rate in the Premier League, he always scores goals in the Championship.

The target man is a great centre point for Norwich's attacking trio to work around and he always poses a goal threat of his own.
