Leeds United have had a solid start to this season's Sky Bet Championship campaign and currently find themselves sitting in 14th place, after picking up five wins from the opening thirteen league games.

The Whites' most recent result was a 1-1 draw with struggling Wigan Athletic, a result seen as two points dropped by 99% of the supporters as the Leeds defence crumbled to concede a stoppage time equaliser.

However, the game did see Chris Wood continue his goalscoring form as he netted the opener on the 39th minute.

The New Zealand international has 8 goals in 15 appearances for the club so far this season.

Leeds come up against Wolves this Saturday and will be hopeful of picking up another three points.

Summer signing Luke Ayling has had a very steady start to his career at Elland Road and would keep his place at right back in my Leeds United preferred XI.

The former Arsenal trainee is a very versatile operator who can play anywhere along the backline, as well as being able to step into midfield if required.

Ayling penned a three year deal with the club this summer when he signed from fellow Championship club Bristol City on an undisclosed fee.

CM - Eunan O'Kane

Eunan O'Kane arrived at Elland Road this summer from Premier League outfit Bournemouth, and has enjoyed a good start to his career with the club.

The midfield maestro would keep his starting place for the upcoming fixture against Wolves in my preferred Leeds United XI.

O'Kane has been capped five times by the Republic of Ireland senior team after previously being capped at under 21 level.

CM - Kalvin Phillips

20-year-old midfielder Kalvin Phillips has been a regular in the Leeds United senior team so far this season, after Garry Monk took the reigns at the club and has been give a platform to impress.

The hot prospect would be given a starting birth alongside Eunan O'Kane in central midfield in my preferred Leeds United XI, for the upcoming game against Wolves.

Mowatt is always a top performer in the Leeds United team and deserves to start against Wolves.

He is a midfielder who is adept both defensively and attacking wise, and will be a key player for Garry Monk's men on the weekend.

Talented Frenchman Hadi Sacko is currently enjoying a season long loan spell with the Whites from Portuguese side Sporting CP.

Sacko has excellent technical ability, he is very quick, direct and good with the ball at his feet and is a real threat for any side to be wary of.

His potential has been recognised by the French national side for whom he has been capped at Under 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 level.

RW - Pablo Hernandez

Former Spanish international Pablo Hernandez has started showing his quality in recent weeks and looks to be a real asset to the squad.

Many reports circulating indicate that both the club and the player are wanting to make his stay permanent, and it remains to be seen if a deal can be thrashed out in January.

Hernandez would keep his role wide right in my preferred Leeds United starting XI.

ST - Chris Wood

Despite being the brunt of fan frustrations during the early games of the season, New Zealand frontman Chris Wood has shown an upturn in form recently, and scored as recently as the last league game against Wigan when the sides shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw.

He is expected to be leading the line again this weekend and will be looking to continue his goalscoring form.
