Garry Monk's tenure as Leeds manager has got off to a wretched start - two late goals are the only thing that has saved the 37-year-old from complete embarrassment.

The challenging start to the new campaign doesn't get any easier for Leeds however, as a daunting trip to Hillsborough to face Carlos Carvalhal's Sheffield Wednesday side is next up for the Yorkshire outfit.

Wednesday have made an average start to the new Championship campaign.

A reasonably strong start with a win over Aston Villa on the opening weekend was followed by another decent result, as they managed a 0-0 draw at Carrow Road; however the Owls go into the Leeds game coming off the back of a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Nigel Clough's relegation tipped Burton Albion side on Tuesday night.

This promises to be a brilliant encounter between two of the Sky Bet Championship's biggest clubs - the game could go either way.

It will be a hard task for Garry Monk's side to come away from Sheffield with all three points tomorrow; however it is a possibility should they line-up strongly.

In this article, Football League World writer Jack Sharp lays out a Leeds starting eleven (lining up in a 4-2-3-1 formation) that is capable of defeating Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow afternoon......

GK: Robert Green

The ex-England international's spell at Elland Road got off to the worst possible start on the opening weekend - when Green was at fault for QPR's opening goal.

However, since then the player who joined from Championship rivals QPR in the summer has put in a string of decent performances, and is likely to be selected to start between the sticks on Saturday afternoon.

RB: Luke Ayling

Ayling, like Green, has recently arrived at Elland Road - the 23-year-old signing a three- year deal at the Yorkshire outfit.

The former Bristol City man has impressed in his short time at the club thus far, even drawing individual praise from Garry Monk after Leeds were defeated by Birmingham in Ayling's debut.

Monk said that Ayling 'was the only player to come out with any real credit' from the game.

It is fully expected that Ayling will resume his place on the right side of defence for the fixture.

CB: Kyle Bartley

bartleybartley

Bartley has impressed during his time at Leeds so far, putting in a collection of commanding performances since his summer arrival on a season-long loan from Garry Monk's former employers Swansea City.

I would fully expect Bartley to be part of a centre back pairing tasked to contain Wednesday's star-studded attack.

CB: Pontus Jansson

Pontus JanssonPontus Jansson9

Jansson arrived at Elland Road recently, joining on a season-long loan from Italian outfit Torino - and the 6ft 5" anchor looks set to make his Leeds bow at the first opportunity in tomorrow's encounter.

With United's captain Sol Bamba drawing scrutiny for some of his performances of late - I think Monk will rotate his defence again to give former Ivorian international Bamba another rest and experiment with the partnership of Bartley and Jansson.

LB: Charlie Taylor

It's been an extremely busy summer for 22-year-old Taylor - with constant speculation regarding the future of the former England youth international.

However, the youngster who was arguably the Whites' brightest spark last campaign has remained a Leeds player, and no doubt possesses the talent to be a match winner should he start in the encounter.

CM: Liam Bridcutt

bridcuttbridcutt

Bridcutt joined Leeds on a two-year deal this week - rejoining the club after a loan spell at Elland Road during the last campaign.

The Scotsman is eligible for the encounter - and I fully expect the former Sunderland and Chelsea man to be amongst a five man midfield for the fixture.

CM: Kalvin Phillips

Phillips made his first Sky Bet Championship start of the new campaign on Tuesday night - and impressed in the middle of the park.

The 20-year-old who is a product of Leeds' academy thoroughly deserves to keep his place in central midfield for tomorrow's game, perhaps alongside new acquisition Bridcutt.

RM: Hadi Sacko

Hadi Sackod

Sacko has only been at Leeds for a short period of time - however has impressed massively so far, displaying burning acceleration and decent skill.

The versatile 22-year-old arrived at Elland Road from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon on a season-long loan - and showed how much of a good acquisition he could be on his home debut, when he latched onto Alex Mowatt's pass to level the scores at Elland Road last weekend.

CAM: Pablo Hernández

Pablo HernandezPablo Hernandezssa

Hernández  joined Leeds earlier this summer - on a loan deal from Qatari outfit Al-Arabi.

Although the Spaniard perhaps hasn't shown his full talent in his time at the club so far, I believe that the former Swansea star could thrive if utilised in the CAM position at Hillsborough tomorrow.

LM: Kemar Roofe

roofe

Roofe joined Leeds from Sky Bet League One side Oxford United earlier this summer - and has made a solid start to life in the Championship.

The 23-year-old has appeared in all of the Whites' outings so far this campaign; the former West Brom man certainly possesses the pace and goalscoring ability from the flanks to be a key man in tomorrow's game.

ST: Marcus Antonsson

antonssson

Antonsson joined Leeds earlier this summer, joining from native side Kalmo FF.

Despite not netting for his new side, the Swede has impressed the Elland Road faithful in his short time at the club; I would back the Swede to break his scoring duck if given the nod by Monk tomorrow afternoon.

So.. Leeds fans, what do you think of this line-up? How do you rate your chances in tomorrow's game?

Wednesday fans, how could your team combat this line up?
