It has been a disastrous start to the Sky Bet Championship for Garry Monk and his new look side - a lacklustre 3-0 defeat at QPR on the opening weekend was followed by a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Birmingham City at Elland Road on Saturday.

Leeds' first chance to rectify their poor early season form comes tomorrow night - as they travel to Craven Cottage to face Slaviša Jokanović's high flying Fulham side.

The Cottagers' start to the Championship campaign has been completely different than that of their opponents tomorrow night - a confident 1-0 win over league favourites Newcastle was followed by a 1-2 victory over Simon Grayson's Preston North End side.

Fulham are definitely a team in the ascendancy, and will certainly provide a stern test for United tomorrow night.

However, I believe that Leeds certainly do possess the quality to overcome poor form and defeat Fulham tomorrow night; in this article, Football League World writer Jack Sharp looks at a Leeds team (lining up in a 4-2-3-1 formation) that can come out triumphant in West London tomorrow night...

GK: Robert Green

robert greenrobert greensssss

Green arrived at Elland Road earlier this summer on a one-year-deal from Championship rivals QPR.

The former England goalkeeper hasn't enjoyed the best start at his new club - conceding 7 goals in his first 3 competitive outings for the Yorkshire outfit.

However, with the scrutiny that goalkeeping Italian Marco Silvestri came under for his performances as 'keeper for the club, I would expect Green to retain his place in Monk's starting XI for tomorrow's encounter.

RB: Luke Ayling

Monk had come out earlier this summer and said that he felt that the right back position at the club was one that he felt needed strengthening.

He fulfilled that desire last week, by signing talented full back Luke Ayling - on a three-year deal from Lee Johnson's Bristol City side.

The 24-year-old was handed his debut by Monk on Saturday - and was praised by his new boss after the game, Monk saying that 'Ayling was the only player to come out with any real credit.'

CB: Sol Bamba

Bamba joined Leeds last summer, after a loan spell with the club during the 2014/15 campaign.

The commanding centre back was recently given captaincy by new boss Garry Monk, and has appeared in every game so far this term.

The former PSG player and Ivory Coast international has drawn scrutiny from some Leeds fans for his poor performances so far this term - however, I can't see Monk dropping his skipper so early into the season and I think Bamba's undoubted talent will shine through.

CB: Kyle Bartley

bartleybartley

Bartley has recently joined Leeds on a season-long loan from Premier League club Swansea.

The former England U21 international has started every competitive fixture so far, as a partnership with captain Sol Bamba.

Bartley obviously has the backing of the manager - as the 24-year-old played under his current boss when Monk was at Swansea; I definitely expect the 24-year-old to start tomorrow night.

LB: Charlie Taylor

Taylor is an extremely talented player, and one that has attracted interest away from Elland Road.

Monk has clearly stated that he wants Taylor to remain at the club, and he continued that resilience by turning down a transfer request from the 22-year-old.

Although there is constant speculation regarding the future of the talented full back, I would fully expect the former England U19 international to resume in the position he's occupied so far this term.

CM: Alex Mowatt

mowatt32

Mowatt is a product of the academy at Elland Road, and has made 107 appearances since turning professional at the Yorkshire outfit.

The central midfield position is one that is highly competitive at Leeds, however as a result of his performance on Saturday (where he set up Hadi Sacko for United's only goal) I would expect the England U20 star to start in West London tomorrow night.

CM: Toumani Diagouraga

With Leeds' perhaps being dominated in the middle of the park in Saturday's fixture, I think that Monk will try a partnership of Mowatt and Diagouraga tomorrow evening.

The 6' 2" Frenchman I think would provide the knowhow that perhaps youngster Rolando Vieira doesn't yet possess, I think Monk should certainly start the 32-year-old tomorrow night.

RM: Hadi Sacko

Hadi Sackod

Sacko has recently arrived at Leeds on a loan deal  from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon.

The 22-year-old, who scored the equaliser against Birmingham on Saturday, has already dazzled members of the Elland Road faithful with his burning acceleration and dazzling skill - the former French U20 international certainly possesses the qualities to be a success in the Championship this term and will surely start tomorrow evening.

CAM: Kemar Roofe

roofe

Roofe is another new acquisition of Monk - the 23-year-old arrives at the club on a four-year deal, from newly promoted Sky Bet League One side Oxford United.

The versatile attacker was instrumental in all of the U's success last term, scoring 25 goals in all as the Yellows reached the JPT final and achieved automatic promotion from League Two.

He has appeared in all of Leeds' fixtures so far this term, and although Roofe has been played at and is perhaps more accustomed to the flanks - he can do a job in the centre of the park and I believe could thrive in that position tomorrow night.

LM: Pablo Hernández

pablo hernandezpablo hernandezddv

Hernandez has recently arrived at Leeds on a loan deal from Qatari side Al-Arabi.

By joining the club, Hernández reunites with Garry Monk - who he played with during his time at Swansea.

Hernández  possesses technical talent way above the Championship - and if the Spaniard performs like he can he could certainly prove to be one of the EFL signings of the summer.

ST: Marcus Antonsson

Marcus Antonsson123

With last season's top goalscorer Chris Wood drawing scrutiny for his performances as of late - I can see summer recruit Antonsson being utilised as a loan striker in tomorrow's encounter.

The Swede impressed at Elland Road on Saturday, and I'm sure many of the United fans will put the 25-year-old ahead of Wood for a place in the squad at this present moment.

So... Leeds fans, would this squad come out on top tomorrow night? Will Monk find a remedy for the clubs poor start?
