Bristol City have made a very promising start to the 2016/17 Championship campaign, winning three times and losing just twice.

Furthermore, with their only defeats coming against newly relegated Premier League teams Norwich and Newcastle, the Robins look a team on the ascent with Lee Johnson at the helm.

With some shrewd acquisitions this summer too, the Bristolians look a force to be reckoned with this term, and could potentially be very dark horses in the promotion run-in.

On Saturday afternoon, the Robins take on the Millers, in what looks to be a feisty contest. Alan Stubbs' men have only managed to record one win, losing three times, and drawing once so far this season.

Here, FLW writer George Harbey suggests his starting 11 that is more than capable at beating Rotherham United on Saturday afternoon...

GK: Richard O'Donnell

The 27-year-old has more than certainly took Frank Fielding's number one jersey off him, since signing from Wigan Athletic last term.

Expect to see O'Donnell between the sticks for the Robins on Saturday.

RB: Mark Little

The 28-year-old has endured a great deal of success at whichever club he has been at, and he has already made 60 appearances for Lee Johnson's men.

CB: Aden Flint

Perhaps one of the better central defenders in the second tier, Flint is coming close to making 120 appearances for the club, ever since singing from local rivals Swindon Town in 2013.

CB: Hordur Magnusson

Pairing Flint at the back is the 23-year-old Icelandic international, who has already made a glowing impact at Ashton Gate, netting once in five games.

LB: Joe Bryan

At the age of only 22, the Bristolian has already made 115 appearances  for his boyhood club, however has adopted more of an attacking role on the left hand side thus far this term.

CM: Bobby Reid

Another glowing youth prospect, the 23-year-old has made 66 appearances for the Robins, ever since graduating from the youth system in 2010.

CM: Gary O'Neil

Providing much needed experience in the spine of the squad is O'Neil, having made 426 appearances in his career.

He will definitely be looking to use his wisdom in the middle of the park and guide City to promotion like he did at Norwich.

RM: Luke Freeman

Luke Freemanm

Freeman has finally found his feet in the first team at Ashton Gate once again, after being down the pecking order last term, in the early stages of Johnson's reign.

He was an influential player in the Robins' promotion winning campaign in the 14/15 season.

CAM: Lee Tomlin

The real coup of the summer was securing the 27- year-old talisman on a permanent deal from AFC Bournemouth, after enduring a magnificent loan spell at Ashton Gate last term, where he netted 8 times in 18 games.

LM: Callum O'Dowda

The Republic of Ireland international more than deserves his place in the starting line up this weekend, after a string of quality performances.

The catalyst of Oxford United's successes last campaign, O'Dowda made 87 appearances for Michael Appleton's men, netting 13 times.

ST: Tammy Abraham

Completing the line-up is none other than the Chelsea youngster, who has already netted 4 times in 5 games for Johnson's men.

After the recent departure of Jonathan Kodjia to Aston Villa, Abraham will be the spearhead of City's promotion charge this campaign.
