If you're a Birmingham City fan, the chances are you're feeling pretty good about life in the Championship right now.

Sitting seventh after just ten games, Gary Rowett has led his side to a really solid league start with only five points separating them and league leaders Huddersfield Town. A 1-1 draw away at QPR was their last result and it was yet another game they went unbeaten.

It's a far-cry to when Rowett took over back in 2014, when the Blues were languishing in the relegation zone with severe financial and ownership issues. There is a real buzz about the place and next up is Blackburn Rovers, who haven't had the best start themselves.

With that in mind, Birmingham must fancy beating Rovers this weekend and we're backing them to take three points of the strugglers too.

So here is our Birmingham City lineup that will beat Blackburn Rovers at St Andrews this weekend...

GK: Adam Legzdins

Adam Legzdins has done very well since taking the reigns from regular number one Tomasz Kuszczak, who has been sidelined through injury.

Now in his second spell at the club, Legzdins has done little wrong since stepping in between the posts and we're tipping him to retain his place against Rovers this weekend.

RB: Jonathan Spector

Jonathan Spectord

With Paul Caddis still languishing in the reserves because of "fitness issues", it will be Jonathan Spector's job to continue in the right-back berth in a job he's been doing pretty well in so far.

Regularly either a centre-back or a holding midfielder, he's adjusted well out-wide and he'll start the game at St Andrews this weekend.

CB: Michael Morrison

Captain Michael Morrison has been absolutely immense at the heart of the defence this season and many are tipping him to continue in good stead as the campaign progresses.

He seems to have formed a really solid partnership with Ryan Shotton which is good news for Blues fans, who saw the floodgates open post-February last season.

CB: Ryan Shotton

Had his first wobble of the season as Steven Caulker escaped his marking to nod home QPR's goal in the 1-1 draw but apart from that, Shotton has been fantastic so far this season.

The former Stoke City man came with a pretty poor reputation but at Birmingham, he's really rebuilt his career. A fantastic summer signing.

LB: Rhoys Wiggins

Manager Gary Rowett has confirmed that Rhoys Wiggins will be available for selection for this game and we'd love to see Bournemouth loanee Rhoys Wiggins given the chance at left-back.

Jonathan Grounds has been left unchallenged in this Birmingham squad for the past season and it's time he had some decent competition. Lets see what Wiggins can do.

CDM: David Davis

Another player who has been exceptional so far this season, David Davis has really bounced back from a tough spell last campaign to become a pretty permanent figure in this Birmingham squad.

His energy, ability to break up the play and his license to go forward have been really useful so far this season and Blues fans will hope his good form continues into the future.

CDM: Maikel Kieftenbeld

Kieftenbeld

Industrial, hard-working and a real tough cookie, Maikel Kieftenbeld is another Blues player who has been superb this season.

The former Gronigen man has added a real element of hardness to this Birmingham midfield and it has showed- they've been much more solid with him in their ranks. He'll be a big player in the Blackburn game too- they'll be hard to break-down and he might be the key.

RM: Jacques Maghoma

jacques maghoma

Former Burton midfielder Jacques Maghoma has been brilliant as Blues have raced up the table and his form is showing no sign of slowing up. He's quick, direct and good with the ball and his form has completely kept the likes of David Cotterill on the bench so far this season.

Will be looking to race at the Blackburn full-backs from the get-go.

CAM: Che Adams

Che AdamsChe Adams

The pacy forward has had a good start to his Blues career having signed from Sheffield United earlier this summer.

The £1.7million man has shown some real early promise, linking up well with the likes of Clayton Donaldson, Lukas Jutkiewicz and Jacques Maghoma. Could prove to be a real steal going forward- there was plenty of interest in his signature this summer and bringing him to the club was a real coup.

LM: Greg Stewart

greg stewart

It's been a long time coming and surely Greg Stewart deserves a start in the very near future. The former Dundee man has been fantastic in his appearances from the bench and looks seriously ready to take a starting place in this Blues lineup.

He's shown skill, pace and power and Birmingham fans might have a real diamond in the rough in their ranks in Stewart. Promising stuff and we want to see him start the game against Blackburn.

ST: Lukas Jutkiewicz

Lukas Jutkiewicz

There are plenty of Blues fans that are really pleased for Lukas Jutkiewicz and his current form. Injuries really took their tole on the big-man last season and he sat out most of the campaign with a serious injury.

But two goals in as many games has really helped his cause and although his loan only runs until January, Blues fans will be hoping an extension on that deal might not be that far away, if he continues to do well.
