Leeds United's clash with Yorkshire rivals Rotherham at the New York Stadium on Saturday with Leeds hoping to recapture their top 6 spot.

Leeds were in excellent form winning 4 games in a row in all competitions before their 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle at the weekend, but having won their 2 last away games they'll be hopeful of picking up form again at struggling Rotherham.

Rotherham on the other hand under new manager Kenny Jackett have lost 9 of their last 10 games and seem doomed for relegation already.

They have won once at home all season and are already 11 points adrift of safety.

They have by far the worse defence in the league with 41 goals conceded, whilst Leeds have conceded less than half that with Pontus Jansson the star at the back.

Leeds will be hoping for star striker Chris Wood to be on form to expose Rotherham's poor defence and Leeds' far improved defence under Garry Monk should keep out a poor Rotherham attack.

Here is the Leeds XI that will demolish Rotherham.....

GK - Robert Green

The former England international is immensely experienced at the top level and Monk has him nailed down as the club's Number 1 keeper.

He did make a costly mistake against Newcastle but he is still more consistent than the shaky looking Marco Silvestri.

LB - Charlie Taylor

Even the young left back looks likely to leave in the summer when his contract runs out, he is still the best option Leeds have at left back.

The 23- year-old former England U19 is known for his explosive pace down the left flank providing Leeds with a good attacking outlet and is also improving defensively, part of a good defensive unit this season.

RB - Luke Ayling

There is a lot of competition for this spot in the Leeds defence with Swiss defender Gaetano Berardi having a good claim to it.

But ever since arriving from Bristol City, Ayling has been solid down the right side defending very well.

Ayling has been a fixture at right back and with his recent performances good there is no reason to make a change.

CB - Pontus Jansson

The impressive Swede has been one of the division's best players this season and has impressed Leeds fans immensely.

His towering imposing partnership with Kyle Bartley has been one of the best in the league with only 19 goals conceded.

CB - Kyle Bartley

Bartley has also been solid since arriving on loan from Monk's old club Swansea forming a good partnership with Pontus Jansson.

After years of failing to breakthrough at Premier League Swansea, he is now playing regularly and the 25-year-old will be hopeful of a permanent deal.

CM - Eunan O'Kane

The Irish midfielder spent years failing to breakthrough at Premier League Bournemouth, but the Republic of Ireland international is a regular starter for Leeds this season alongside Phillips and Ronaldo Viera.

He provides defensive cover for the back four and also knows how to pick a pass utilising his excellent vision, and tackling to win the ball and send it forward.

O'Kane is likely to be a regular starter all season.

CM - Kalvin Phillips

Phillips has been one of the breakthrough stars for Leeds this season in the heart of the Leeds midfield, with fellow Leeds academy product Ronaldo Viera also breaking out this season.

Phillips a product of the Leeds academy has been sharing the position with Viera in central midfield alongside Eunan O'Kane, and scored a screamer against Nottingham Forest.

He will have competition when Liam Bridcutt returns from injury.

LM - Hadi Sacko

Leeds have an embarrassment of riches on the wing with Hadi Sacko battling for a starting position with Souleymayne Doukara.

Doukara had an unclear future after a lot of inconsistency in previous seasons and I think Sacko is the permanent option.

CAM - Pablo Hernandez

Leeds have plenty of options in the Number 10 position but Hernandez is the one with the most experience.

Ronaldo Viera and Alex Mowatt will be vying for the position as well, but Garry Monk may favour his fellow former Swansea associate Hernandez.

Hernandez has plenty of experience in the Premier League and has scored some screamers this season.

RM - Kemar Roofe

The young striker has been implemented on the wing by manager Garry Monk and is starting to find some success after initially struggling.

He has pace and is an excellent finisher which he showed for Oxford last season, when he scored 17 goals and won League 2 Player of the Year.

He has settled into his stride and a crucial winner away at Wolves has cemented his importance to the side.

ST - Chris Wood

Unlocking the Rotherham defence for that midfield 5 should prove a comfortable task, and having an assured finisher like Wood up front is perfect for finishing the chances.

The New Zealand international is the club's top scorer this season with 8 goals and is the team's most important player providing the attack's focal point.

Whilst not very mobile, he is strong in the box and an assured finisher.
