GK - Robert Green

Summer signing Luke Ayling has had a very steady start to his career at Elland Road and would keep his place at right back in my Leeds United preferred XI.

The former Arsenal trainee is a very versatile operator who can play anywhere along the backline, as well as being able to step into midfield if required.

CM - Liam Bridcutt

The former Sunderland midfield has been fantastic since arriving at Elland Road.

His commanding, combative displays in the heart of midfield have been superb, and he is undoubtedly a key cog in Garry Monk's team.

Expect to see Bridcutt start against the Rams.

CM - Kalvin Phillips

20-year-old midfielder Kalvin Phillips has been a regular in the Leeds United senior team so far this season since Garry Monk took the reigns at the club, and has certainly been given a platform to impress.

The youngman has shown calmness, composure and maturity way beyond his years and will no doubt have been catching the eye of numerous top flight clubs with his impressive performances

LW - Hadi Sacko

Talented Frenchman Hadi Sacko is currently enjoying a season long loan spell with the Whites from Portuguese side Sporting CP.

Sacko has excellent technical ability, he is very quick, direct and good with the ball at his feet and is a real threat for any side to be wary of.

CAM - Kemar Roofe

Kemar Roofe has certainly been coming into his own in recent weeks, and will be desperate to keep up his good form tonight when facing off against Derby County.

The 23-year-old former Oxford man, looks to be adapting well to Championship football and is becoming a key player in Garry Monk’s squad.

RW - Pablo Hernandez

Now permanent Leeds United wideman Pablo Hernandez would be given a starting role on the right wing in my Leeds United preferred XI.

The former Spanish international brings great quality and experience to Garry Monk's team and is a very useful player in the Sky Bet Championship.

ST - Chris Wood

Leeds frontman Chris Wood is currently enjoying a purple patch when it comes to goalscoring, the New Zealand international has already racked up 13 league goals so far this campaign and will no doubt be a contender for Championship top scorer come the end of the season.

Wood is no doubt Monk’s first name on the teamsheet at the moment and you can expect to see him leading the line at Elland Road on Friday night.
