Leeds United, supporters will be excited to get their campaign underway when they travel to the Macron Stadium to face Phil Parkinson's Bolton Wanderers on Sunday.

It has inevitably been a revolutionised Leeds United side since the appointment of Thomas Christiansen, who has brought in a number of players ahead of the campaign in his pursuit to get this club back into the Premier League.

In total, the new manager has seen nine new faces walk through the door at Elland Road this window and the permanent inclusion of defender Pontus Jansson, so there is no reason to admit it's been a dismal summer on the recruitment front for the Yorkshire outfit.

A number of fans will be hoping to see several of those signings make their debuts for Leeds when they visit the Trotters at the weekend.

If Thomas Christiansen goes with this 4-2-3-1 team then they can expect three points against Bolton Wanderers on Sunday.....

GK: Felix Wiedwald

Felix Wiedwald is heavily likely to be the first choice goalkeeper for Leeds United this season with experienced man Rob Green uncertain about his immediate future at Elland Road.

Having arrived at the club this summer, the 27 year-old has got over fifty top-flight appearances under his belt, albeit for German team Werder Bremen but the experience is vital nevertheless.

With the confident backing from Thomas Christiansen, Wiedwalk will be aiming to get down to a cracking start in his Leeds career and will start against Bolton Wanderers at the weekend.

RB: Luke Ayling

Luke Ayling has possibly been the most consistent member of the Whites' team in recent times, predominantly a centre-half the 25 year-old has comfortably shifted into the right-back role.

The former Bristol City man is the only solid member of Leeds United's first-team for this position and that means it will subsequently result in Ayling owning the full-back role for most of this season.

Having been a regular part of the club's pre-season schedule, he'll be looking ahead to this weekend and expecting to start; his one goal in the build-up to this campaign means he will be buzzing and that's exactly what the team needs ahead of the new term.

CB: Matthew Pennington

Prior to Thomas Christiansen's arrival, Leeds United were desperately short of numbers at the back and he swiftly changed that with the signing of centre-back Matthew Pennington on loan from Premier League side Everton.

With the Whites continuing to be adrift of a comfortable back line, it is inevitable that the loanee with be a consistent figure in the first-team this year after becoming one of the first names on the team sheet during pre-season.

Fan favourite Pontus Jansson will be absent for the trip to Bolton Wanderers after accumulating fifteen yellow cards last season and is still yet to serve two of the three matches he received as a suspension.

CB: Liam Cooper

This means Liam Cooper is tipped to start alongside Matthew Pennington in the heart of defence and he knows precisely what it takes to get three points in the Championship with a reliable back line.

The 25 year-old may start for the visit to the Macron Stadium, however, with Jansson returning in a few weeks it will mean he'll be battling with Pennington for that other place in the defence.

LB: Gaetano Berardi

Leeds United disapprovingly lost Charlie Taylor at the end of last season and that has resulted in several faces being linked with a move to Elland Road throughout the summer but Christiansen is yet to fill that void.

During pre-season, it has been Gaetano Berardi whose won the left-back role and it is heavily thought the 28 year-old is expected to make that position his own for the upcoming 2017/18 season.

The Swiss' reliable displays mean he's likely to start and with such a confident mind set, Berardi will play an integral role into picking up the three points against Bolton Wanderers on Sunday.

CM: Eunan O'Kane

Eunan O'Kane received some criticism last year for his lack of control in midfield and losing the ball in key areas, meaning he became a fragile part of Leeds United's starting eleven and subsequently lost his place in the team.

Since then, manager Thomas Christiansen has given the ex-AFC Bournemouth man to revive his career and supporters have really seen a turnaround in O'Kane during the promising pre-season schedule.

It is surely time that now the boss has allowed him such an opportunity that his prospective displays in friendlies lead onto his name being a starter on the team sheet, and I'm sure he'll help Leeds to the victory at the weekend.

CM: Mateusz Klich

One footballer at Elland Road who's not enjoyed the greatest of starts to life at Leeds is June arrival Mateusz Klich having picked up an immediate disappointing injury almost upon signing for the club.

The Polish midfielder has since re-gained fitness and got minutes under his belt after coming on as a second half substitute in the pre-season triumph over Oxford United last Saturday.

Supporters fully expect Klich to get up to speed in the week leading up to the Championship season getting underway and it highly thought the 27 year-old will be starting against Bolton, he will truly become an integral part of Christiansen's midfield.

RM: Stuart Dallas

Stuart Dallas has somewhat become an understudy to Kemar Roofe since the latter's addition last season but the fans have wholeheartedly been pleased with the winger's contribution this pre-season.

The attacker may have featured in 31 Championship outings last season but his work was became undermined and it would have been surprising to even consider him as a starting eleven name prior to the campaign.

However, supporters are satisfied with his recent performances and if Thomas Christiansen listens to them then Dallas may be a formidable part of Leeds' attack on Sunday at Bolton Wanderers.

CAM: Samuel Saiz

Samuel Saiz is one of Thomas Christiansen's most influential signings during pre-season this summer and it would be more surprising not to see him feature in the starting eleven on Sunday.

The 26 year-old was a stand-out performer during last weekend's triumph over League One outfit Oxford United in what was Leeds' final outing before they kick-off the new campaign in a couple of days' time.

It seems supporters have taken a warm heart to the attacking midfielder and he'll surely be one of the first names on the team sheet at the Macron Stadium, plying his trade just behind the striker.

LM: Kemar Roofe

The final midfield position undoubtedly is going to Kemar Roofe if Leeds United are aiming their sights on all three points this weekend, having easily been the best player of the club's pre-season schedule.

Predominantly a left-sided winger, it would be an unquestionable odd decision to leave Roofe or Stuart Dallas out of the starting eleven and that is why I would have the former begin the game against Bolton on the right.

He's netted three goals over the last month, including one against his former employer on Saturday so the confidence he breeds is just another indication that Kemar Roofe is a certain name on the team sheet.

ST: Chris Wood

Possibly the most painless decision for manager Thomas Christiansen to make is who to start up front and that will be last year's top goal scorer Chris Wood, whom has incidentally recently been called up, unsurprisingly, to New Zealand's national team for next month.

Despite the continuous rumours suggesting the prolific forward is on his way out of Elland Road, there has been no indication from the boss he is aiming to replace him as the Whites are yet to bring in an attacking force to match Wood.

Having such a familiar face of the Championship in your team will always give you a fighting chance of accumulating three points at Bolton this weekend and with this striker in the team it's surely in the locker.
