QPR are a team in the Championship that have really struggled to find consistency this season.

Even with new manager Ian Holloway at the helm, the Londoners aren't picking up results where they need and another average season looms unless they can go on somewhat of a run going forward.

And against Wolves last weekend, the 2-1 home loss was a result that simply pushed them back further.

If there was a single team that was there for the taking it was the Midlanders, who have been struggling themselves at times this campaign.

But it's another new week and for the Hoops, they have a fantastic chance to pick up three points against Championship whipping boys Rotherham United.

The Millers are another side that haven't fared well at all this season and if there was one game where three points was definitely on the cards, it's this.

So with that in mind, here's the QPR XI that will beat the Millers this weekend.....

GK: Alex Smithies

Alex Smithiesd

Former Huddersfield Town keeper Alex Smithies has been a real standout player in a pretty average season so far.

His place between the sticks isn't in doubt in the slightest.

RB: Nedum Onuoha

Nedum Onuohad

After James Perch's red card against Wolves, there will need to be a slight defensive reshuffle in the QPR defence for the game against Rotherham.

Nedum Onuoha has played at right-back plenty of times throughout his career and shifting along isn't a bad shout in the slightest.

CB: Joel Lynch

Queens Park Rangers v Reading - Sky Bet Championship

Scored a 90th minute goal against Wolves to give his side hope last weekend and Joel Lynch might have had another on another day too.

But defensively, he's going to have to have a good game if his team are to come away from Yorkshire with a win, even with Rotherham struggling for goals at times this season.

CB: Grant Hall

Grant HallGrant Hall

Former Birmingham City loanee Grant Hall has been used in midfield more often that not this season but in the past, he's enjoyed successful spells in the middle of the defence.

He'd be a good player to move infront of the keeper after the red card last weekend and it means the spine of the team doesn't change that much either.

LB: Jack Robinson

Queens Park Rangers v Brentford - Sky Bet Championship

Perhaps one of the most underrated players in this QPR side, left-back Jack Robinson gives the team fantastic energy on the flank.

With the pace of Onuoha on the right and him on the left, they have a real chance to score a few goals against the Championship strugglers.

CDM: Karl Henry

karl-henrydddds

Former Wolves man Karl Henry didn't feature for the whole 90 minutes against his former club but he's a man that brings a really combative playing style to the QPR midfield.

He's a scrappy sort of player who is excellent at breaking up play in the middle-of-the-park.

CDM: Sandro

sandroo

Former Spurs man Sandro is the heartbeat of this QPR team right now and if he can get back to his top form, he could be the man to turn QPR's season around.

We've seen his quality in the Premier League at times but he needs to be more of an influence in the midfielder for the Hoops.

RM: Tjaronn Chery

tjaronn-cherytjaronn-cheryddd

If there is one man that gives this QPR side plenty of running, it's Tjaronn Chery.

He's a naturally pacy wideman that loves getting at defenders, and when you've got the attacking firepower the Hoops do, you might want to see him doing more to get the ball in the box at times.

CAM: Massimo Luongo

luongo

Former Swindon Town man Massimo Luongo is our pick at attacking midfield and at times, he's been very good for the Hoops this season.

But like many players in this QPR team, his form is a matter of consistency and maintaining it for longer periods of time.

LM: Conor Washington

Queens Park Rangers v Brentford - Sky Bet Championship

Northern Ireland international Conor Washington has played out wide for the Hoops at times this season, and whilst it's not his preferred position, he's a handy player out wide.

He has a good burst of speed and a real strikers instinct, as seen during his time with Peterborough United.

ST: Idrissa Sylla

sylla

Summer signing Idrissa Sylla is a huge unit upfront for the Hoops and his form going into the Christmas schedule will be huge for Holloway's team.

He's still coming to terms with the division somewhat, but his potential is clear for all to see.

If he can get firing, QPR will do okay come the end of the season.
