Sunderland need to win against Derby on Friday but you get the feeling that they are right up against it.

Derby have been by no means brilliant in recent weeks but the Black Cats have been far worse and with the Rams looking to finish in the top six, they'll be looking to go on the attack.

Certainly, the men from Wearside look in real trouble in terms of getting into a position where they are safe and it would appear that League One beckons.

They have to keep fighting until then, though, and Chris Coleman will surely look to change his side as much as possible as he tries to find a change in fortunes.

With that said, then, here's the XI he could play...

Camp could retain his place in goal.

Matthews is a decent player and might attract interest in the summer if they go down.

O'Shea remains in the side but his influence is on the wain.

Kone has the ability to keep Derby out but will he turn up? That's the question.

Oviedo will need to be on point with his delivery from the left.

Cattermole needs to have more of an impact on games.

Honeyman is a decent player and could cause Derby problems.

LuaLua, on form, is a tricky player. Let's see if he can get at Derby.

McNair is playing more offensive now. He could start this one.

Asoro is a bright young player and a good career should await.

Fletcher has to start firing soon, doesn't he?
