Canaries boss Alex Neil has been heaped under pressure this week after a 5-0 hammering at Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend, but what a perfect way to get his side back on track with revenge against Leeds United.

Leeds put Norwich out of the EFL Cup a few weeks ago on penalties to start their barren spell.

Another bad result against the Yorkshire outfit could see Alex Neil’s side potentially slip out of the top six if other results do not go their way.

The Canaries were top of the Championship halfway through October but have slipped to fourth after two defeats in three games.

Leeds look a more established side as the season has rolled on – picking up 10 points out of possible 15 in October that has seen them rise to 9th in the league.

Both sides need the points, but with the pressure mainly on Norwich playing at Carrow Road, I expect them to up their game and sweep aside Gary Monk’s team.

Football League World Writer, Ashley Williams identifies the Norwich XI that needs to beat Leeds United on Saturday..

GK – John Ruddy

McGovern had an absolute horror-show in their hammering against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Neil has to make changes and I expect the experienced head of Ruddy to step up and be counted after playing second fiddle to the Northern Irish international for most of this season.

LB- Martin Olsson

His incident with Glenn Murray last weekend clearly got the better of him and he lost his head in the game.

He was at fault for Brighton’s second goal after being beaten in the air by Murray.

Neil would have had a stern word with the Swede after the game, but I expect him to continue in his role at left back.

CB – Ryan Bennett

It wasn’t very hard, but Bennett was probably the best defender from Saturday’s hammering.

He was unable to control Michael McGovern’s terrible clearance that lead to Glenn Murray’s hat trick.

Bennett will have to dust himself down, and get his defence up for the vital game against Leeds.

CB – Sebastian Bassong

Sebastien Bassong is going nowhere according to Neil Adams.

I expect Bassong to come in for Klose, who had the worst display of his Norwich career last weekend.

Similar to Ruddy, Bassong has rarely had a look-in this season and Neil is expected to give him the opportunity to re-instate himself as a first team regular.

Bassong’s experience will help to lift the players, and he needs to help them get back on track.

RB – Russell Martin

Martin went ballistic in his post-match interview last weekend and he needs to put last week's display behind him.

He was caught out by the speed of Brighton’s attack force for the second goal, but he would have learned his lesson and I expect him to put in a much better performance for the Leeds affair.

RW – Jacob Murphy

Murphy created Norwich’s best moment in the game last weekend with a first-time cross that just evaded Cameron Jerome’s near-post run inside the penalty area.

Murphy looks short on confidence at the moment and he needs to start replicating his form from earlier on in the season if he wants to keep his place in the first team.

CM – Graham Dorrans

Another player who looks short on confidence at the moment is Graham Dorrans.

We all know what Dorrans can bring to the table such as his dazzling display against Nottingham Forest a couple of weeks back.

City’s play is far too slow and ponderous of late, and Dorrans is in the side to set the tempo and get the ball swiftly gliding across the pitch.

CM – Wes Hoolahan

Wes Hoolahan

Expected to keep his place in the side, but only by a thread after a poor performance.

He tested David Stockdale for the only time in the contest last weekend with a dipping long range shot after the game had drifted away.

Hoolahan has been the victim of being man-marked in recent weeks and that has disabled him from expressing himself.

LW – Robbie Brady

The Irishman is expected to be drafted back into the starting eleven after a lightweight and passive performance from Alex Pritchard.

Brady has been short of fitness, but if he is given game time, then he should be back to his best.

Norwich have been lacking in service the past couple of weeks and with Brady’s tantalising left foot, he should provide the service that is being craved.

ST – Cameron Jerome

jeromeeee99

His goal drought continues, but this will be the ideal game to end his dry spell.

In his defence, he has been lacking in service and has been isolated up top on his own.

Jerome still has the ability to be a top-class striker, and if he nets at the weekend, his confidence will go through the roof.

ST – Steven Naismith

Naismith

The Scottish forward has been out of the frame for the past couple of months and he needs to be given the chance to show what he can do.

He started off his career well with the Canaries, but has gone through a bit of a barren spell of late.

Alex Neil needs to make changes from last weekend, and Jerome needs support up front.
