Nottingham Forest make the trip to Lancashire on Tuesday night to take on Owen Coyle's Blackburn Rovers, in search for their first away win of the season.

After a superb 3-1 victory over Birmingham City on Friday night, confidence will be high in the Forest camp as they look to secure a first win on the road this season.

Reds boss Philippe Montanier may be tempted to stick with a similar side to the one that defeated the Blues on Friday, though he will be forced to make one change after Nicklas Bendtner's injury ruled him out for three to six weeks.

Blackburn Rovers have struggled this season and after a disappointing 0-0 draw with Ipswich Town on Saturday, Forest may feel they have the opportunity to capitalise on some poor form.

Here is the Nottingham Forest XI that will defeat Blackburn Rovers.....

GK - Vladimir Stojkovic

Despite the Serbian international unable to register a clean sheet so far this season, Stojkovic has put in some superb performances in between the sticks.

Being awarded the fans player of the month is indicative of the quality he has brought into this Forest side, and he will be determined to secure a first clean sheet of the season on Tuesday night.

RB - Hildeberto Pereira

Forest boss Philippe Montanier may look to start the back four that finished the game on Friday night, with Eric Lichaj moved over to the left.

Pereira's goal on Friday left fans in amazement and the skilful right back adds a huge attacking threat as well as being a reliable full back.

He must start against Blackburn.

CB - Matt Mills

Experience, physical and strong in the air, Matt Mills will need to use all of these attributes to contain the threat of the talented youngster Sam Gallagher.

The former Leicester City man was a key part of the back four that looked much more solid in Friday's win and Mills will be hoping he can continue this defensive solidarity.

CB - Damien Perquis

After a much better defensive display in the last game, it would arguably be an error from Montanier to chop and change the back four.

Like Mills, Perquis was dominant at the heart of the Forest defence and contained the threat of Blues striker Lukas Jutkiewicz with ease.

LB - Eric Lichaj

The former Aston Villa right back was unlucky not to be man of the match in the Reds' win on Friday night, scoring a stunning opening goal and working tirelessly to defend as well as join in the attack.

The consistently strong full back must be one of the first names on the team sheet on Tuesday night.

CDM - David Vaughan

The 33-year-old's last two outings have been tremendous, awarded with man of the match in both games where he has comfortably dictated the play in the centre of midfield.

The former Wales international is perfectly suited to Montanier's brand of football where they look to build from the back, whilst also shielding the back four excellently.

CM - Henri Lansbury

Whenever Henri Lansbury is playing for Forest, the Reds always look a much a better side.

The classy creative midfielder is usually at the heart of everything good for Forest and he will no doubt be crucial to the side on Tuesday night.

CM- Pajtim Kasami

Admittedly, Kasami's performances have dipped somewhat in comparison to his first few games for the club.

Nonetheless, Kasami has plenty of quality on the ball and can be a key player for the Reds this season.

With Forest having another big game on Saturday evening against Cardiff City, resting Chris Cohen for then and playing Kasami may be a good move.

RW- Mustapha Carayol

Carayol undoubtedly put in his best performance since signing for the Reds in Friday's win and constantly terrorised the Birmingham City full backs with his powerful and direct running.

If Carayol can reach full fitness, he will certainly continue to be a menace on the wing for the remainder of the season.

LW - Ben Osborn

Ben Osborn

Ben Osborn is quickly becoming a key player for the Reds this season.

Although he may not possess the skill set of a natural winger such as Carayol, his work rate, skill and his ability on the ball continues to cause teams problems this season.

The 22-year-old is one of the first names on the team sheet for every game, and so he should be.

ST - Apostolos Vellios

It is fair to say the Greek international has silenced any critics since his arrival in the summer, scoring five goals so far this season.

Vellios has filled in for the injured Britt Assombalonga magnificently and with Bendtner out for three to six weeks and Assomabalonga not yet ready to start, Vellios looks set to lead the line once again on Tuesday night.
