Paul Heckingbottom is preparing for his first game as Leeds United’s head-coach this weekend, with the new Elland Road boss taking his side to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United.  

Leeds are without a victory since Boxing Day, a run that has ultimately cost Thomas Christiansen his job at Elland Road and led to the appointment of Heckingbottom.

The Whites currently sit 10th in the Championship table, seven points adrift of the top-six after a miserable start to 2018.

Heckingbottom has been tasked with turning Leeds’ season round and resurrecting that play-off push, starting this weekend at Bramall Lane.

Leeds travel to South Yorkshire with a number of absentees, with Samuel Saiz, Liam Cooper and Gaetano Berardi all suspended, whilst injuries have also hindered the Whites over recent weeks.
