39-year-old moves to address Leeds United’s transfer links with winger

Bristol City assistant manager Dean Holden says he knows “nothing” about speculation linking winger Callum O’Dowda with a move to Leeds United, according to reports from BBC’s Adam Pope.
Reports recently surfaced that the Whites were plotting a move to sign the Republic of Ireland international, as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of a promotion push this term.
But Robins assistant manager Dean Holden has denied all knowledge of speculation linking the 23-year old with a switch to Elland Road, insisting that the rumour is “nothing I know about”.

O’Dowda has been impressive for Lee Johnson’s men since arriving from Oxford United in 2016 – he has scored only four times in over ninety games for the Bristolians, but has produced numerous assists, and possesses real pace and end-product that could be of use to Leeds.
The Whites currently sit at the top of the Sky Bet Championship table, four points clear of the play-off places after a comfortable 2-0 home win over Derby County last Friday.
The Verdict
This could be really worrying for Leeds fans in their pursuit of O’Dowda.
If a significant figure like Holden is unaware of any official interest from Leeds, then it would indicate that the Whites are yet to make a move to land the wide-man, contrary to reports.
He’d be the perfect signing for Leeds, who are missing any real threat on the left flank. He could be the addition that gets them over the line, as they dream of promotion to the top flight.
