Aston Villa are preparing for their huge play-off final against Derby on Monday, with everyone aware of just how important it is for the club to return to the Premier League.

The financial aspects of this game mean that most things will be put in hold by key figures at Villa, as plans can't be finalised until they know what league the side will be in.

However, some decisions will be easier than others and one man who could be moved on by the west Midlands outfit is Albert Adomah after a very unproductive season - as our graphic shows.

The former Middlesbrough man was superb for Villa in the previous campaign, scoring 14 goals from out wide as the side made the play-off final as well.

But, his contributions this season have been significantly reduced, with four goals and two assists nowhere near good enough.

Whilst the change of manager may not have helped Adomah, even though Dean Smith encourages more attacking football, the reality is that he isn't the same player he used to be.

At 31-years-old he appears to have lost that sharpness and speed that made him so effective.

The challenge for a winger is to change your game when that happens to adapt to a new role but Adomah isn't offering enough to the team right now.

His experience may see him get the nod over Andre Green against Derby in six days time but moving forward the academy graduate will be ahead of him. As well as that, new signings are likely to increase competition out wide.

Therefore, Adomah will realise that his time at Villa Park will be up and a move could suit all parties, although he will want to end on a high before he departs with a win at Wembley.
