Preston North End manager Alex Neil says he has no intention of leaving the club, amid reports that he his the favourite to become the next manager of West Brom.

The Daily Mail are reporting that Neil is the preferred candidate to succeed Darren Moore at the Hawthorns, who was sacked last month with the Baggies fourth in the Championship table.

However, Neil, was quick to distance himself from the speculation, telling Preston's official media that his sole focus is with the Deepdale club.

Neil, 37, guided Preston to within two points of the Championship play-offs during his first season in charge last term and was able to achieve promotion to the Premier League with Norwich City via the play-offs in 2015.

West Brom are also reportedly considering former Watford and Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic as a long-term successor for Moore.

James Shan is currently in caretaker charge at the Hawthorns and has impressed so far, winning all three of his games as temporary boss.
