Bradford City kept up their strong start to the season with a win in midweek, beating struggling Stevenage 1-0 away from home.

After two draws in their opening fixtures, they've registered back-to-back wins, 3-0 against Oldham last weekend before the midweek triumph.

Gary Bowyer hasn't been afraid to try different formations though, starting the season with a 4-3-1-2. That led to draws with Cambridge and Grimsby, before he went to a 4-1-4-1 against Preston in the cup.

That didn't work, the Bantams were soundly thrashed 4-0 and quickly switched to a simple 4-4-2. That brought a 3-0 win against Oldham and they remained 4-4-2 for the win at Stevenage.

It's often said that you shouldn't change a winning team and after two wins with that most basic of formations, Gary Bowyer is unlikely to tinker ahead of the game with Forest Green. It's an early promotion six-pointer, with Mark Cooper's side also around the top six.

If Bowyer does stick to the 4-4-2, we think he'll line up as below.

In terms of personnel, we don't think Bowyer should change anything this week. He's won two games on the bounce, kept two clean sheets and seen his attacking players thrive.

That means another game for James Vaughan and 35-year-old Clayton Donaldson up front. They've begun to form a partnership based on experience as much as anything, with Connor Wood and the talented Sean Scannell adding width to the attack.

The spine of the Bradford team is very solid, Danny Devine and Matt Palmer play in the centre of midfield, ahead of the hulking Ben Richards-Everton and former captain Anthony O'Connor. In the absence of former Leeds man Paudie O'Connor, that'll be the spine this weekend.

Adam Henley and Kelvin Mellor should play at full-back, the former bringing experience from the MLS, whilst Richard O'Donnell is a safe pair of hands at this level.

Forest Green will play a possession game, playing out from the back and hoping to pass their way through the Bantams. If Donaldson and Vaughan can stay close to the defenders and look to make their physical presence felt, it could be a big three points in the bag come 5pm.
