The pressure is seriously beginning to mount on Swansea City manager Steve Cooper following a poor run of form in the Championship.

For most of the season so far, the Swans had looked like a good bet to be challenging for the play-offs come the end of the campaign but with just two wins to their name in 2020, fans are beginning to have their doubts.

Their midweek display against QPR was arguably their most uninspiring all season with the hosts failing to get a single shot on target in the entire 90 minutes.

Friday night sees them travel to Hull City, who are in a bit of a rut themselves, and those travelling up to watch the Swans will be happy with nothing other than a win.

So, how is Cooper likely to set his side up for the clash?

He has favoured a 4-2-3-1 set-up throughout the entire campaign so there is no real reason why he would change tact in that respect tonight.

Freddie Woodman will remain in goal. Since joining on loan from Newcastle in the summer he has been consistently solid, staking a real claim to be the division's shot-stopper of the season.

In front of him excpect Kyle Naughton to play at left-back with Marc Guehi and Joe Rodon likely to be given the chance to build on their impressive partnership. Connor Roberts will again play on the right of the four.

The midfield duo will likely be comprised of Matt Grimes and Conor Gallagher. The latter has been used in a more advanced role in recent weeks but it has not been getting the best out of him.

Can you remember the scores from Swansea’s first 12 games of this season?

Whilst at Charlton he was deployed deeper in order for him to influence all areas of the pitch more and that is something Cooper is likely to take into consideration tonight.

Expect one change in the attacking four as well with the experienced Wayne Routledge likely to come in for Bersant Celina who was once again innefective on Tuesday night.

Otherwise it will remain the same. Yan Dhanda will move forward into attacking midfield with Routledge and Andre Ayew either side of him, providing service for Rhian Brewster.
