Lincoln City are back on the FA Cup shock train tomorrow as they look to replicate their heroics of 2017 at Goodison Park.

Two years ago they became the first non-league team in 115 years to make the FA Cup quarter final, knocking out Premier League Burnley in their own ground on the way. They also defeated Brighton and Hove Albion who were later promoted to the Premier League, as well as beating Ipswich after earning a replay at Portman Road.

The run came to an end against a strong Arsenal side in the Emirates, but since then they've kicked on and developed as a club.

They're no longer non-league, they're top of League Two and hunting a place in League One. There's a real possibility they could be facing Ipswich next season as equals, rather than giant killers.

Can they beat Everton? Of course, anyone can beat anyone on their day, but we think there's a formula they can use to give themselves the best possible chance.

Here's the line up we feel Danny Cowley can use to topple Marco Silva's side.

They might have to settle for Sam Slocombe in goal, the on loan Bristol Rovers keeper. Regular number one Josh Vickers has been struggling with injury.

He's been deputised by Grant Smith, but Smith played in the cup for Maidstone on loan and is agonisingly cup tied for the Goodison trip.

No shocks here. Neal Eardley will play.

He was a member of the Oldham side that knocked Everton out of the competition several years ago. He captained the Latics that day and will be hoping for a repeat.

Harry Toffolo will look to overlap the wingers when he gets a chance, but as the only left back on the clubs books without an injury, he's a certainty to start.

Toffolo has come through the ranks at Norwich and has England honours and youth level, so he should be comfortable dealing with technically gifted players.

Jason Shackell is experienced enough to know what a trip to Goodison is all about, he's played top flight football before and is still fighting fit at 35.

He's a threat from set pieces and is a leader on the field for Lincoln. He'll be important tomorrow.

Michael Bostwick will partner Shackell at centre back. He's a behemoth of a player, fearless in the tackle and he'll approach this game like any other.

His fearsome tackling and non nonsense style might unsettle the Everton forwards.

In the middle of the park we think Danny has to go with Michael O'Connor. If there's a surprise to be had they'll need to ensure they're solid at the back and O'Connor is the best they have at screening the back four.

He's been vying with Tom Pett for a start recently, but he'll get the nod.

Lee Frecklington is the club captain at Sincil bank, a home-grown hero with Championship experience who has come home to savour their success.

He's a passionate and committed player with experience of big games and will be important in linking the defence and attack.

There's only one choice for the right wing, the bullish Harry Anderson has to play.

He's only 21 but has seemingly been around for ever, having been with the club during their cup run of 2017.

He's strong as an ox and will relish having a big stage to perform on.

Bruno Andrade has played Premier League football, albeit for a couple of minutes for QPR, but he's on his way back up the divisions.

The tricky left winger is a former team mate of Raheem Sterling and on his day, as good as anyone in League Two.

John Akinde is the main striker at City, a club record signing in the summer who has been on a streak of scoring goals in recent weeks.

He's a focal point for the attack, happy to get balls into feet or onto his head. he's usually paired with a runner, but tomorrow needs to be different.

34-year old Matt Rhead is something of a talisman at Lincoln. He's a big lump of a man, one who will never shirk a challenge and a real threat in the air.

Lincoln have to be direct tomorrow if they're going to down Everton and in that instance, the big man has to play.

He's a wind up merchant too and had Michael Keane tied up in knots when they beat Burnley two years ago.
