There's the potential for a new look Sunderland side taking to the field against AFC Wimbledon tomorrow, with a lot happening since their last league match.

They've not been in action since January 19th, missing a weekend due to others FA Cup involvement.

Since then they've lost Josh Maja, welcomed back Grant Leadbitter and brought in Will Grigg.

The Northern Ireland striker won't make tomorrow's squad, but he's one of several new faces that might get a run out as they look to get the better of relegation-haunted Wimbledon.

Their opponents are bottom of the table whilst Jack Ross is hoping to see his side climb up from their current placing of fifth.

They've got games in hand over the clubs above them and their resources seem to have stretched far further than those of their rivals, but how will Ross pack all of his new talent into the side? Here's the XI we think he'll start with.

We think that across the back there will be consistency from their last league game. Reece James and Adam Matthews are likely to remain at full back, with Jack Baldwin and Tom Flanagan secure in the centre of defence.

Once you move through the thirds there's changes abound. Dylan McGeouch has been partnering Max Power in the middle of the park, but with 33-year-old Grant Leadbitter coming in, it's likely he'll play in the holding role. Power will keep his place, he's a creative force who has put his early season dismissals behind him.

There's so many options in the bank of three its ridiculous, but for now we think Ross will go with stability and ease his new signings in. Lynden Gooch has been exciting this season and should start, Aidan McGeady is another who has looked comfortable and for now, keeps his place.

We can see him giving one new face a run out and possibly Lewis Morgan will get a spot in the side.

Up front he won't go with Kazaiah Sterling straight off and with Will Grigg injured, the big summer signing Charlie Wyke gets another chance to prove himself. He might find those limited as the season wears on.
