Derby County will look to close the gap on the top two when they face West Brom at The Hawthorns in what will be a very tough test for Frank Lampard's men.

The Rams will head into the game full of confidence though, following a very impressive 2-1 victory over Sheffield United last time out.

However, they know they face a big challenge against Albion, who have been superb on their own patch.

Darren Moore's side have won five games in a row at home in the league, scoring an incredible 19 goals in that time.

Given that, Lampard may make a few slight tweaks for the game, although he certainly won't abandon his philosophy which has served the team well so far this season.

Here we look at the XI we expect Derby to go with for the big game...

The former England keeper is a standout option in the Championship and certain to start.

Given Albion's attacking threat, Lampard may consider playing Tomori right-back ahead of Jayden Bogle.

It's nothing against the youngster who is a terrific prospect but he can struggle defensively at times, whilst playing three high-intensity games in seven days may be a bit much for him.

Moving Tomori to right-back also allows Davies to come back into the side.

As mentioned, Albion have the best attack in the league so it would make sense for Lampard to bring in his best defender for this one, even if Tomori and Richard Keogh have done well.

The experienced Irish international has been a regular this season and will continue in defence.

Forysth is a better defensive option that Scott Malone and should continue in the left-back role.

The former Spurs midfielder came in for a rare start against the Blades and did well. He will look to control the tempo for Derby from the middle of the park.

With Craig Bryson expected to miss out, Lampard has a decision to make and could go with Johnson who will help give balance to the side and ensure those ahead of him have the freedom to play.

The former Rangers man will start from the right but it will be a flexible front line and he will look to move centrally to support the main striker.

An easy choice for Lampard, Mount is a very important player for the Rams.

Wilson has competition for his place out wide, but his pace and dribbling ability could cause a leaky West Brom defence a lot of problems.

After scoring the winner against Sheffield United, Marriott is sure to continue up top.
