33-y/o in, 27-y/o out: The Sheffield Utd XI that Wilder must use tonight to win the derby

It’s one of the standout fixtures in the Championship and tonight the first, hugely-anticipated, Steel City derby of the year will take place at Bramall Lane.

It’s a game that even neutrals look out for when the fixtures are released at the start of the summer, and the clash between Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday is bound to be a cracker in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Both sides go into the encounter on the back of a defeat, but it’s Chris Wilder’s Blades who are favourites for this one – they’ll be looking to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat to promotion rivals Nottingham Forest last weekend, with a win that could send them to the top of the league.

Jos Luhukay’s Owls are in dismal form – they go into the clash at Bramall Lane as huge underdogs having lost their last four league games, with just one win in their previous seven league outings, so what a time this would be for Luhukay to grab a much-needed win.

The Blades will be looking forward to this one having gone unbeaten against their bitter rivals last season, and here, we take a look at the Sheffield United XI that will win the Steel City derby tonight…
