Sheffield Wednesday’s Jose Semedo has taken to his personal Twitter account to express he is “enjoying each moment” at Hillsborough.

Semedo joined Wednesday ahead of the 2011/12 season and played a major part in the club’s promotion to the Championship from League One that year.

The 32-year old has made over 150 appearances for the Owls and has become a fan favourite during his time with the club.

Semedo has taken to social media to deliver a passionate message, which read: “Throughout the last few years, always know in my heart I have an important part to play at this beautiful club #swfc enjoying each moment.”

Wednesday handed Semedo a one-year extension on his contract 12-months ago, but a new deal is yet to be agreed for the popular midfielder who will be out of contract at the end of the season.

Semedo has struggled for opportunities in South-Yorkshire this season, making just ten appearances across all competitions for Carlos Carvalhal’s side.

Carvalhal did hand Semedo an opportunity in Wednesday’s last league outing, when the 32-year old replaced Gary Hooper as a second-half substitute in Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Ipswich Town, which confirmed the club’s place in the end of season Play-Offs.
