After last season’s impressive return to the Sky Bet Championship, plenty of people are keen to see how Millwall manage this season under Neil Harris.

It’s not been the most impressive start to the season for Harris’ side, who have two points from their opening two fixtures of the season.

Middlesbrough and Blackburn Rovers have both held Harris’ side, who will be going in search of three points against Derby County on Saturday.

Between now and then, there could well be some movement in the transfer window, with plenty of Millwall’s fringe players surely pushing for a loan move between now and the end of the month.

Harris has opted to use the same starting XI during the opening two weeks of the season, with certain players not looking like they will earn a chance this season.

Here at FLW, we take a look at TWO of those players who need to be pushing for a move between now and the end of the week…

The 32-year-old goalkeeper has made just four appearances during his Millwall career, and this season, finds himself way down the pecking order.

Martin has Jordan Archer and Ben Amos ahead of him, with it unlikely that Harris will move away from that duo over the course of the season.

It would be wise for Martin to go in search of football elsewhere.

Ferguson has made 127 appearances for Millwall over the course of his three-year stay at The Den, but this year, it looks like the 27-year-old’s playing time is going to be cut short.

Harris has turned to other options in Millwall’s opening fixtures, and although Ferguson could well get opportunities in the cup competitions, Championship football might be hard to come by.

Pushing for a loan move this week could be sensible.
