Charlton Athletic have made some decent signings so far this summer transfer window but Nigel Adkins will know that the work is not done as he prepares to get his players ready for a Sky Bet League One promotion assault.
The likes of Jayden Stockley and Akine Famewo have been kept around as the club looks to pick up from where they left off last season in decent form, whilst new links are emerging all the time.
Indeed, according to Alan Nixon, free agent Paul Mullin is on the Addicks’ radar and so, that said, we’re looking at his key stats from last season as he helped fire Cambridge United to promotion:
Mullin is a player that is riding the crest of a wave after last year’s exploits and it’s clear he has got himself in with a chance of sealing a big move to a club like Charlton.
32 goals at any level is not to be sniffed at, and it’s clear he is a player that has a really keen eye for goal and comes alive in the final third.
He may not win as many aerial duels but that is not his game and, with Jayden Stockley at the club, you could see a good partnership growing between the two with them boasting lots of different attributes between them.
Of course, it’ll be up to Nigel Adkins as to whether he wants to play two up top but Mullin could give Charlton something different in their attacking ranks, and we’ll just see if the Addicks get him.
