It's been a very enjoyable season so far in the Championship if you're a Sheffield United fan with the Blades firing on all cylinders at the moment.

Coming up from League 1, many felt that the Blades would be happy with a mid-table finish and some stability whilst ensuring they didn't drop back down to the third tier. Manager Chris Wilder has had none of that, though, and the Blades have picked up where they left off last season with them again challenging for promotion.

Certainly, they've been one of the surprise packages of the season and with them keeping it up over the first few months of the campaign, they have to be considered as genuine contenders now. January, then, could be vital in their charge for the Premier League, but we've been thinking about those players that could exit the club.

With that in mind, then, here are two players that we think might be leaving the Blades in the next transfer window...

Nathan Thomas

Signed in the summer, Thomas could seriously do with a loan deal in January.

Sheffield United's side looks pretty settled and Chris Wilder seems to know who he wants to call on when he needs to rotate and, unfortunately for Thomas, he is not on that list right now.

He arrived from lower down the leagues and a loan to a top League 1 side could be handy for him to at least improve his confidence.

Ched Evans

Rated £315k by transfermarkt, there is a future for Evans at Sheffield United - make no mistake - but he needs a loan deal away once he's recovered from his injury.

The striker is currently behind Clayton Donaldson, Leon Clarke, Billy Sharp and Caolan Lavery in the pecking order and really needs to get playing and match-fit once he is physically fit. League 1 sides would probably take him whilst even a few lower Championship sides might and such a move could help him get back into the Blades' side.
