Sheffield United remain in the play-off hunt this season and it would be some achievement if they got themselves into the Premier League.

The men from Bramall Lane have surely exceeded all expectations this season and, despite some wobbles, they remain in contention to go up once again after arriving from League One last year.

If they do go up or if they don't, though, Chris Wilder is surely going to want to see a number of changes in his squad to shake things up and he'll surely have in mind some players that he'd be willing to let go.

We've been thinking about three that could possibly be worth showing the door to, then, so let's take a look at the trio...

Samir Carruthers has fallen down the pecking order at Bramall Lane with the likes of Ricky Holmes and Lee Evans arriving in the January window.

He's 24 so he's still got most of his career left but he needs to be thinking about moving on in order to really start building something.

Chris Wilder surely wouldn't stand in his way.

£315k-rated Ched Evans is another man with plenty of players in front of him in the pecking order.

Billy Sharp, Leon Clarke, Clayton Donaldson and David Brooks look like better options going forward and so Evans might be thinking about going elsewhere.

He can score goals - particularly at League One level - so maybe a side in the third tier could look to swoop.

Ben Heneghan has had a tough time at Bramall Lane.

He was signed at the beginning of this season but has duly found himself watching on from the sidelines.

Whether Wilder has decided he doesn't fancy him is up for debate but you'd imagine that if there was a chance the player could be moved on then there'd be little resistance.
