Birmingham City host relegation fodder Bolton Wanderers tomorrow evening hoping to improve their chances of making it into the play-offs.

Garry Monk’s team were 4-0 up within 36 minutes at Loftus Road last weekend, before a late Queens Park Rangers comeback that ended in a late penalty miss to preserve the points for the Midlands side in the 4-3 win.

A victory tomorrow could see Birmingham move within a point of the top-six heading into the final 14 games of the campaign.

The Blues are the closest challengers to the other play-off contenders and putting pressure on them will aid their chances of the post-season lottery.

Monk will be looking to name a team capable of doing just that against a beleaguered Bolton side.

With that said, this is the XI that the Birmingham boss should play to guarantee a result against the Trotters tomorrow.

The typical 4-4-2 formation for Monk’s men with Lee Camp in goal once more.

A back four of Maxime Colin, Harlee Dean, Michael Morrison and Wes Harding, maintaining the same defensive line as the narrow win last weekend.

The Blues have a small squad, and a midfield four that consists of first-team regulars Jacques Maghoma, Maikel Kieftenbeld, Gary Gardner and Jota will once again be named.

Up front, hat-trick hero from the win over QPR Che Adams will line up in the attack with Lukas Jutkiewicz – with the pair having 29 goals between them.
