Sheffield United will be looking to record back-to-back victories this weekend when they take on Nottingham Forest in a high-profile fixture.

Chris Wilder’s side have made an excellent start to the Championship season and heading into the weekend’s fixtures they are setting the pace amongst their promotion rivals.

Last weekend’s emphatic 4-2 victory over Wigan Athletic was a real statement to the rest of the Championship, with Billy Sharp scoring a hat-trick.

Despite that magnificent victory over Wigan, changes will be made this weekend against Forest, with Wilder without Chris Basham, who will serve a one-match suspension after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season.

The 30-year-old has featured in all 15 Championship fixtures this season, proving to be a reliable figure in Wilder’s back-three.

Wilder has given an early indication of who might replace Basham this weekend, confirming to Andy Giddings that John Egan could be back in contention.

With that in mind, we take a look at the defensive unit we expect the Blades to field…

Henderson will continue in goal for the Blades, with the Man United loanee impressing.

Stearman should move to the right of the defensive unit in the absence of Basham.

Egan hasn’t featured since the 1-1 draw with Stoke and his return couldn’t be more timely for the Blades.

He should come in to replace Basham.

O’Connell is so reliable in the left channel.

He will continue and look to nullify Forest’s attacking threat.
