This week has seen the start of the finest footballing occasion around, the Football League Play-offs.

No competition guarantees as much jubilation, heartache and sheer pandemonium as they do and this weekend League One gets underway.

Portsmouth and Sunderland take each other on it what looks to be the most enticing semi-final but the clash between Doncaster and Charlton on Sunday is equally as mouthwatering.

It is the battle between 3rd and 6th. Charlton leapt above both the Black Cats and Pompey on the final day of the season whilst Grant McCann's Donny secured the final spot on the same day.

Lee Bowyer's Addicks finished 15 points better off in the league season and go into the clash as convincing favourites. But this is the play-offs and anything can and will happen.

Doncaster have played some great football this season and have every chance of causing an upset.

So, here is the XI that we expect McCann to pick on Sunday...

It is a tried and tested back-five with 'keeper Marosi protected by full-backs Andrew and Blair with the partnership of Butler and Downing allowed to continue to flourish.

The quality in midfield is undeniable with Ben Whiteman and Todd Kane proving to be an excellent partnership and will continue to link defence and attack.

One change in attack should see the more industrious Tommy Rowe replace Kieran Sadlier. Sadlier has played well in recent weeks but Donny will need their most hardworking side out on Sunday.

And the final three pick themselves with John Marquis, Malik Wilks and James Coppinger each having hugely productive seasons.
