Blackburn Rovers will look to make it four wins in a row on Saturday afternoon, when they host Derby County at Ewood Park.

Those last three wins have seen Tony Mowbray's side climb from 18th to 11th in the Championship standings, and another one this weekend could see them move to within touching distance of the play-off places, depending on results elsewhere.

But with Derby just three places and two points behind Rovers in the second-tier table, the Rams may well have similar ambitions of their own going into the weekend, meaning this is unlikely to be an easy task for Blackburn.

With that in mind, we've taken a look at the starting lineup that Mowbray could name in order to give his Blackburn side the best possible chance of picking up all three points against Derby.

Having used a 4-2-3-1 formation for the vast majority of the season so far, we imagine Mowbray will once again take that approach against the Rams on Saturday.

Christian Walton will continue in goal, having done so throughout the season so far following his loan move from Brighton in the summer.

With Mowbray revealing that versatile defender Derrick Williams looks set to miss at least the next three games with a calf injury, it looks as though Rovers could stick with the same defence as the one that started the last two games.

Despite it not being his natural position, Stewart Downing has impressed while stepping in at left-back during that time, while Darragh Lenihan and Tosin Adarabioyo are starting to look like an effective partnership, having only been used together as a pair for the first time at the start of that three-game winning run.

Ryan Nyambe has also forced his way back into the right-back position in recent matches, and there seems to be little reasons for him not to continue to do so on the basis of those performances he has put in.

In midfield, Corry Evans and Lewis Travis have once again impressed as a partnership in the centre of the park in recent weeks, meaning they should be a good bet to retain those positions on Saturday.

One position where Rovers could see scope for change is on the wing. Joe Rothwell and Adam Armstrong struggled to make an impact last time out against Stoke, so Lewis Holtby could be given a start in an attacking midfield role.

Meanwhile, Nyambe's return at right-back frees up Elliott Bennett to return to his more natural right-wing position, something which he did from the bench against the Potters, going on to set up Sam Gallagher for the winner, which could tempt Mowbray to give him another chance in position.

Elsewhere, Bradley Dack will almost certainly start as he looks to add to the four goals he has scored in his last three league games, while Danny Graham, who remains a key attacking outlet for Rovers thanks to his physical nature and ability to hold the ball up, ought to lead the line against Derby, as he looks to make it league starts in a row for the first time this season.
