With the upcoming Championship campaign scheduled to kick off in just over six weeks time, preparations are already well underway at each of the league's 24 clubs.

Whereas it will be hard to match the sheer level of drama that the 2018/19 season managed to muster up, it will be intriguing to see how things pan out this year.

Home to a plethora of talented players, the second-tier is often the perfect setting for individuals to make a name for themselves before going on to become stars in the Premier League and therefore it would not be at all surprising if we see this occur over the course of the next 12 months.

Keeping this in mind, here are three young strikers who we think could make a real impression in the Championship next season...

Danny Loader

Having been given his first taste of second-tier football last season by Reading, Danny Loader could end up setting the division alight for Jose Manuel Gomes' side during the upcoming campaign.

Although the 18-year-old has only ever scored one goal at this particular level, he will confident that he can take his game to new heights with the Royals as it is clear that already possesses an incredibly array of skills.

Antoine Semenyo

On the books at Bristol City, Antoine Semenyo spent the early part of the previous campaign on loan at Newport County before returning to Ashton Gate in January following a number of impressive performances for the Exiles.

Whereas he proved to be very erratic in the four appearances that he did make in the Championship for the Robins, if he can overcome issues of ill-discipline next season, there is no reason why can't start to fire in the goals for Lee Johnson's side and thus move them within striking distance of promotion.

Ryan Edmondson

Signed by Leeds United from York City in 2017, Ryan Edmondson has so far been only been given two opportunities by the club to strut his stuff in the Championship with the vast majority of his appearances coming for their under-23 side.

Having netted 19 goals at this particular level last season, the 18-year-old may finally be welcomed into the fore by Marcelo Bielsa during the upcoming campaign.

If this does indeed happen, it would not be at all surprising if Edmondson follows in the footsteps of Jack Clarke and Jamie Shackleton by making a real impact in the second-tier for the Whites.
