QPR have made a fairly solid start to the season under new manager, Mark Warburton, and sit eighth in the Championship table.

The R's have won three times in the league so far this season, including victories at both Hillsborough and the Bet 365 Stadium.

In what was a dismal, 19th placed finish, last season, Warburton will be hoping his side can continue their improvement in the next few months and keep up the high level of development in their younger players.

With that being said, here are THREE words that sum up QPR's start to the season...

Inconsistent

Despite the three victories, the R's could be much higher in the league if they'd have produced certain levels of performance on a more consistent basis. The start has been excellent but they can't drop off and must keep getting points, and start improving their home form.

It may be too early to suggest that they're battling with the big guns, as defeats to Swansea and Bristol City show there is still work to be done if they want to make a surprising push for the play-offs.

They have shown ability to play on the counter-attack and this new-look side will only get better as the new season goes on.

Exciting

Playing with two strikers up top and with wing-backs giving the width there has been a change of style at the R's that has provided a lot of entertainment.

Despite sitting in eighth place, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in this new campaign but have also scored in five of their six fixtures. With loanee Jordan Hugill hitting form early on, they seem to have goals in their side, but their lack of defensive prowess makes them vulnerable in every fixture.

Development

This is a keyword regarding QPR's season. The midfield is made up of two very talented young stars that could go onto be some of the Championship's best players and potentially play in the Premier League.

Ilias Chair and Eberechi Eze both play in central-midfield but enjoy the space in front of them allowing them to get forward at any given opportunity and take players on. They are both just 21-years-old and have big futures ahead, and as they become key players for Warburton's side they're only going to improve with experience.

Eze's dribbling skills are simply outstanding at times, and Chair has a very specialist trait that comes in the shape of long-shots. He scored some unbelievable goals during his time on loan at Stevenage last season.

QPR must keep developing as a team, and who knows, they may have an outside chance of achieving something special this season.
