Charlton Athletic currently have just two fit wingers available for selection and this could prompt Karl Robinson into signing some more in January.

With Ricky Holmes and Lee Novak sidelined through injury, Robinson is relying on Jordan Botaka and Ademola Lookman to play the entirety of games on the wing.

This is, of course, extremely demanding especially in the busy festive period.

With Lookman also strongly linked with Everton, who are reluctant to send him back on loan due to an injury to Yannick Bolasie, Robinson might be left with very few options at all in the wide areas.

He needs to start thinking about potential new additions already so that he can wrap them up early in the January window, before other clubs come in for them and so that they can be immediately introduced to the first team.

Here are 3 wingers that Robinson should consider.

Daniel Powell

Karl Robinson will know Daniel Powell very well as they spent six years together at Milton Keynes.

Powell is a powerful, quick and energetic wide man who would offer directness to Charlton's side.

The 25-year-old can weigh in with goals and assists too and is very experienced at League One level.

Nathan Thomas

Thomas joined the Pilgrims last summer

Tricky Hartlepool winger Nathan Thomas has caught the eye this season with impressive performances.

The 22-year-old has weighed in with 7 goals and an assist for the Pools in League Two this year.

Thomas is surely able to make the step up another league and he has plenty of time still to develop given his young age.

Josh Murphy

Josh Murphy

Another player that Robinson has worked with is Josh Murphy.

Murphy was on loan from Norwich last year in Milton Keynes' Championship season and he impressed with 5 goals from the wide areas in his 42 games.

The 21-year-old is being outshone by his twin brother Jacob this season at Carrow Road and could be set for another loan move and I'm sure that Robinson would love to be reunited with his pacey winger.
