Tonight sees English football take another break from the various league campaigns as the FA Cup fourth-round replays take place.

One of which will see two Championship sides go head to head again as Cardiff City welcome Reading to South Wales following their 1-1 draw in the initial tie at The Madejski.

Callum Paterson opened the scoring for Neil Harris' side then before Yakou Meite equalised before half-time, with nothing else giving in the remainder of the tie.

It is a tough match to call, but here we take a look at THREE ways Reading could get the better of their opponents tonight...

Attack down the left

It may sound strangely specific but given the Bluebirds' transfer antics, it is an area where Reading could get a lot of joy.

With Lee Peltier leaving to join West Brom on deadline day, Cardiff have been left with just one professional right-back in the form of Jazz Richards.

QUIZ: How much do you know about Reading’s January signings?

With the defender having only recently returned from injury, however, there is a chance that he will be rested for tonight's clash as well, potentially making them even more vulnerable.

Invite pressure

Even with with a rotated side, Reading almost certainly pose the greater threat on the break.

Whilst Cardiff have some excellent techinicians throughout their squad, there is a distinct lack of pace which could leave them vulnerable to counter attacks.

As such, it would make sense for the Royals to invite their hosts onto them in the opening stages before bombing forward on the counter attack.

Set-pieces

Looking at the size of the two teams, this may not seem like an obvious one, with Cardiff boasting the obvious physical edge.

However, only four sides have conceded more fouls that the Bluebirds this season, on average giving away 13 per match.

As such, Reading will have plenty of opportunities to get the ball into the Cardiff box. It may mean that they need to be a bit cleverer with their routines and deliveries, but it is definitely an avenue they can exploit.
