Hull City come into Saturday's game with Queens Park Rangers looking to bounce back from the 3-0 defeat to Huddersfield Town last time out.

The Tigers have started the season in very average fashion, sitting in 16th place with three wins, four draws, four defeats and 13 points to their name.

They entertain a QPR side on Saturday who are six points better off than City, sitting 9th in the table after three wins from their last five games.

City boss Grant McCann told the club's official media channels on Thursday that: "It’s another tough game for us but we’ve worked hard on the training ground on the back of a disappointing result at Huddersfield."

Contrary to Hull, QPR come into this game off the back of a win against Blackburn Rovers before the international break and will be looking to add to their three away wins this season.

This is a game which could easily be won by both sides, here we take a look at the three threats Hull City will pose to QPR on Saturday...

Multiple goal-scoring threats

Wingers Jarrod Bowen and Kamil Grosicki already have nine goals between them so far this season with five and four respectively.

The majority of City's attacking threat come from the pair and as well as creating chances they are once again proving handy in the goal-scoring department this season.

QPR are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league and only Stoke City, Barnsley and Luton Town have conceded more Championship goals than the Rs.

If Bowen and Grosicki keep up their early season form Rangers could be in for a long afternoon at the KCOM Stadium.

Ability to score early and late goals

Over half of the Tigers goals have come in the first half, with eight of their 14 league goals coming in the first 45 minutes.

Whilst this game will be tough for QPR, it will be made even more of a task if the Rs find themselves behind at half-time.

City have only dropped points on one occasion so this term when they have been leading at half-time and this will offer a psychological boost if they are in a situation to see out the game.

City have also gained a knack for scoring late goals with four of their goals this term coming within the last five minutes of game, and six of these coming in the last fifteen.

If they find themselves in a drawing position this could provide another psychological boost going into the closing stages of the game.

Home form

Eight of City's 13 league points this season have been won at the KCOM Stadium.

City have not lost at home since 24th August in the 3-1 defeat to Bristol City and will want to continue that run against Mark Warburton's side on Saturday.

Club captain Eric Lichaj has rallied his side, by telling the club's official media channels that they should go and start another unbeaten run.

City will be wary that in two of their last three home games they have conceded late on to draw both 2-2 draws against Wigan Athletic and Cardiff City.

If they can get firing early on and manage to see off QPR's threats of Eberechi Eze and Jordan Hugill, the Tigers should be able to extend their unbeaten home run.
