Brentford have had a good season up to this point, as the side continue to challenge for promotion near the higher reaches of the Championship.

A lot of credit has to go to Thomas Frank, with the Bees head coach getting the best out of his players, and showing that attacking football can be a success in the division.

With just ten games to go, the Dane will be hoping that all of the hard work that has been put in this season will be rewarded, as the Bees currently sit in fifth place in the table.

Here, we look at THREE things we've learnt about Thomas Frank at Brentford this season...

Silenced critics

After last season's ups and downs, it has to be said that the club sticking by Frank has paid dividends, as Brentford are in a good position and have proven to be a formidable force at times for any team to come up against.

Going back to the beginning of the season, when the Bees did not have the best of starts after losing four of their first seven games, there was a vocal section of fans that were calling for the manager to depart.

He has gone on to prove them wrong, earning a new contract in the process.

Stuck to his principles

It is known to all that Brentford have a clear identity when it comes to playing their football - an attacking, possession-based philosophy which puts teams on the back foot an any given moment.

Despite periods of inconsistency this season, Frank has stuck to the principles he knows, which shows he has the belief in his squad to carry out his instructions.

Made Brentford promotion challengers

After last season's second-half recovery rewarded the Bees with an 11th place league finish, the west London side were tipped for big things in the summer ahead of the start of the 2019-20 campaign. Saying that things have gone better than expected would be an understatement.

The Bees have been ever-present this season in the play-off places, and a lot of praise has to head in Thomas Frank's direction for getting the best out of his squad, as well as the recruitment team at the club.
