3 things we learnt about Reading last night after their dismal 1-0 loss to QPR

Reading’s dismal start to the season continued as they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Queens Park Rangers. Toni Leistner scored the only goal of the game, after some poor defensive work from the Royals.

The defeat means that Reading now sit 20th in the table, only three points above the relegation places, but a more alarming statistic is their home form this season.

In previous years, Reading’s home form has been the strong point each season, but this season the Royals have suffered five defeats in their last six home matches which is a concerning stat for Clement and the Reading fans.

Chances were minimal for Clement’s side during the game, but Yakou Meite struck the woodwork in the second half after good work from Mo Barrow.

That was the only real chance for Reading during a game where they looked poor and lacked creativity from the first whistle.
